Owh. Is it consider covered under their warranty too?

Am not sure abt Panasonic but I guess it should be. My experience was with Alpha fans before and technician comes and adjust it as it is still new and under warranty.

I had an Econavi 4 blade fan F-M14HW and a Bayu 5 wobble after installation by my electrician. Apparently these fans are too advanced for my electrician to balance. Not used to try to balance a plastic blade. My other normal regulator type of fans were ok. So called up Panasonic to come have a look.

To my great surprised, the product was ok, only requiring some adjustment to the part where it hang from the U-hook. sweat.gif The technician only opened the top part of the fan and in a short while, the fan is balanced shocking.gif

Some photos below the Panasonic technician doing the little adjustment to the Econavi and the Bayu 5.

Hi guys, anybody realises that old Ceiling fan during our childhood can last as long as we live? Ceiling fan nowadays can last 2 ++ and will start to make noise, even kdk or Panasonic. They say it is because manufacturers purposely make the life span shorter so that people will keep buying.. Sigh..

Any brand is not like that? I hope to get reliable one.

The material use is much more different now compare last time. It is not getting better.

Example, the motor casing. Nowaday, the material use is very soft tin type.

Has anyone heard of the Elmark brand...?

I've got 2 Elmark fans installed since 2002 and they've been working wonders. I was wondering if the local dealers still carry them, and are the current crop of Elmark fans still as reliable as before.

Hi all...
Manage to dismantle the fan.
So i will bring this board to Jln pasar change the capacitor. Do i need to bring the fan for testing? or they can test my board without the fan?
If the capacitor replaced, the remote can be worked? or another separate thing to repair?

Besides Jln Pasar, Puchong got place to repair?

Having exactly the same issue on the same Alpha model, the 700VAC capacitor has failed. The fan won't run until I push spin the blades. The start capacitor has failed. The fan is just shy of 1 year, cost me about RM 560 I think with emergency led light.

Went looking for the 700VAC cap in many electrionic shops so far no luck. They all have max up to 450VAC only.

I can't find my original receipt only the warranty card. Looking at the no name components used within the Alpha I am now thinking its best I get a KDK or Panasonic.

Not a good experience with Aplha, previously used KDK and Panasonic never had ceiling fan issues for donkey years.

1. buy from alpha.
2. serie 2 450v cap =900v. if cap is 1 uf, must use 2 uf.
