A lot of the nicer looking Taiwan-made ceiling fans with light kits are costing about that range now.
Was told that Crestar, armasco and acorn are all made in Taiwan.

with ceiling fan is better: KDK or Panasonic? Heard that they came from same factory.
Is their remote control reliable. Planned to get 4 blade ceiling fan but still undecided on which is better and reliable. Please advise

Can anyone enlighten us here.
I bought around 5 Units of Panasonic ceiling fans last year and 3 of them started to creak after one year.
I have one unit of KDK but the remote died on me after probably 3 or 4 years.

i think normally ceiling fan is one year warranty. Too bad to hear that, most likely you need to buy a new set. sweat.gif
I've heard the quality of panasonic. That's why i'm still reluctant to choose it.

Hi

Have anybody use Alaska fan?
I personally like the red blades MELA design.

It is 46" only. Is it kinda small if use for living room?

Wanna ask if RPM (max) 255 and CFM 6300; is it energy saving?

Check their product www.nsb.com.my

I also dunno the price.

just managed to sent my panasonic fan speed control board for repair today.
This is second unit of my fan. Look like the board will not work after some years. But at least can repair, i will see how long it can go from now on after repair.

First time they charge me RM45.
This time they charge me RM35 only.
My house got 3 fans. Not sure when the third fan got problem.

Hi Redrose,

Yes I have heard of the  reverse fan, but it is normally used in winter... i think

Glad you asked about Vento. Have not seen anyone mentioned it here.
Vento is an Italian Ceiling fan label, made in Vietnam. In Singapore it is distributed by amasco.

We fell in love with Vento's Mela. cost SGD1000+.
The blades will open up automatically when switched on and retract back when switched off.
But after a detailed ceiling fan comparison we did not get it.

Hi,

Vento fan is from Taiwan, currently exporting to Mandy country and In Malaysia Nsb fan is sole distributor.

just to share my unfortunate purchase here:

bought 7 sets pensonic baby fan - 4 out of 7 kaput after 14~16months
bought 4 sets rubine fan with remote - 1 out of 4 kaput after 18month

now replaced with panasonic 4 blades with remote - hopefully can last longer.. if not, then will just buy the most conventional without remote

Not really, sometime due to lightning and fry the circuit. Conventional fan less circuit only transformer, coils and resistor but less efficient when running on lower speed.
