Noob - need a little help

Right now the term BRICK is being use so loosely. A brick in the correct term refer to an un-useable phone. No matter what u do it can't be use again ... unless for a hardware method. No one ever get bricked just by upgrading the firmware. They'll only get locked back to the original state which is can't use any foreign sim cards except for the intended telco only.
People get confuse with brick, unlock, jailbreak terms.

Added on August 23, 2008, 2:38 pmBTW jack ... that's the feature to wipe the phone incase u want to sell it or something. It will wipe out everything ... and i mean EVERYTHING, even the OS.

Bosspref did what? BTW its based on FreeBSD (Mac OS), it's unix like but not linux.
