i used to buy Radiant Silvergun and Marvel vs Street Fighter + 4mb cart from liksang.com...those days were awesome...

too bad i lost all of my saturn collection (while i was staying in UK) coming back to malaysia, excuses from courier company ... also some malaysians there that i couldnt trust anymore.... sad.gif

all i get left from saturn collection were the sega 4mb cart, action replay 4M plus cart and black steering wheel... wanted to start a new saturn collection but no money lar...

I thought I could buy RS from you sleep.gif That's a terrible experience for you shah sad.gif

the guy ran away n nowhere to be found (yg malunya org melayu kita sendiri)... i lost a lot of stuff... aldy paid ... was shocked that one box didn't make it...

RS is an awesome game... quite late tho... am happy with Treasure's effort.. Guardian Heroes also the best...
so far RS is very limited in number and very pricy... tried to get one last year (from US) ... USD170 plus shipping USD30... thats USD200...
most expensive i've seen is at USD300... also careful dealing with ppl online... some try to sell ahem version of RS at USD100...
playasia out of stock also

even ST-V boards expensive... few RS cart around above USD100 each...

found out rent a hero on sega MD is rare title... shame the manual koyak... box n cart still intact

Hi, actually Radiant Silvergun is not really the rarest game. But due to high demand for RS, causes the price to skyrocket. People thinks it's one of the best shooter available for Saturn, some people thinks it's the most genius shooter design.

That's really bad, for the expensive items you should handcarry them instead actually.

Last time I saw someone sold off his COMPLETE collection of Japan Saturn on E-Bay for 19.999,99 Euro  shocking.gif

He needs a full two 5-storey rack to store all his games ...

But I don't think anyone will buy his collection for that price  sweat.gif

Not yet and want to try... heard this game sold at double cost of RS when it was released... for collection purpose, its value doubled/tripled ...

8 years ago, i remembered bidding on ebay for SEGA Saturn SGX system. Later got outbidded by several large margin...

Made back in the late 90’s by a company called SunSeibu, The SGX is basically a modified SEGA Saturn mounted in a heavy-duty metal enclosure with a coin-op mechanism. It also has a special seven-CD changer for easy switching between multiple games. The box has standard video and audio and controller ports so you can hook it up to any monitor and play.

Did u guys still play chu chu rocket on dc? those days played multiplayer and online a lot... best part.. got it for free from Sega Europe.. at the time they giveaway as u register sega online service..

Yes, the problem with most of the dreamcast is with its lens. U can try to tweak your lens though, before deeming it not working. If you can open your Dreamcast of course  brows.gif
*
lens not reading no more...

open dreamcast is easy... look at power supply circuit... burnt smell... also in the past dc consoles have problem with power supply to the mainboard (the pins connection sometimes rust)

used to play dc without the top casing...

i've used dreamkey in UK, for web browsing... give it a go...

btw ... look at that collections... simply nice... rclxms.gif

Seems that ur lid is damaged. U can easily remove the top part of DC actually, then maybe u can check what's wrong with it. If you have a non-working DC u can just swap the top part of it with ur working DC.

Anyway the PAL base of the cd/ gdrom (where u put ur cd) is actually nicer since it has 2 soft cushions on the base, rather than JAP or US one (which don't have this). It can help to reduce chance of scratching ur cd actually, since ur cd will not be in direct contact with the base.

Added on December 28, 2008, 11:05 am

Yes, it's quite easy actually since u don't need any special screwdriver to open the DC...

Wow, why u always play without the top casing ??? it's not like Neo Geo CDZ or X360 where it may help to reduce overheat rite ? I'm sure it's not due overheating reason  rolleyes.gif

Yes Gundamalpha collection is very nice and clean. Mine are mostly quite yellowed for the Nintendo line-ups tongue.gif
*
playing w/o top casing.. not always lar.. when something goes wrong with dc not reading the disc or fail to power-up... can do diagnostic run... shame really it died..

i have spare jap dc now... still ok

imho dc is very appealing console... since most of all sega's console before dc are all in black color... except saturn gone black in us and europe, jap gone grey n white

aint the megadrive cartdige a different shape or something ?
*
megadrive cartridge do differ (according to region) in shape when slotting into the console...

i got rent a hero MD cartridge .... half round edge compared to euro's quarter round edge cartridge

anyone found this cart converter?

user posted image

this cart not compatible with games holding a 'Territory Lock-Out' software protection http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/genesis/file/916377/13604

Does Mega CD have region lock hardware wise? I know the games can be bypassed through a cart, but not so sure about the hardware itself. Most probably neogeo is getting a JP Mega CD anyway I guess.

And what about 32X? I think it's region locked right? If that's the case JP MD owners would be doomed, since JP 32X games either sucks or overpriced. 3rotor might be able to enlighten us a bit here :here:

Mega CD and 32X does have region protection... need switch modding....
