I do believe neogeo is owning a JP MD, so inserting cartridges from any region shouldn't be a problem.. unless mine is modified without my knowledge hmm.gif

Does Mega CD have region lock hardware wise? I know the games can be bypassed through a cart, but not so sure about the hardware itself. Most probably neogeo is getting a JP Mega CD anyway I guess.

And what about 32X? I think it's region locked right? If that's the case JP MD owners would be doomed, since JP 32X games either sucks or overpriced. 3rotor might be able to enlighten us a bit here :here:

Yeah, modded to display on a JAMMA cabinet. I don't have an arcade cabinet or else I'd mod all my consoles to play on it sleep.gif

I used to own a PAL CDX, then switched to US CDX with PAL CDX case swap so can insert cartridge from any region smile.gif

Any particular Saturn game you are looking for shahreza? Or what Saturn game are you playing now?

Are you planning to get US or JP Guardian Heroes? And regarding shmup, you must play Battle Garegga, which IMO much better than RSG

Buy the game (Battle Garegga), beat the game once (don't care how many credits) and watch the superplay and learn why this game is unversally recognized as the shmup with deepest mechanics. Every time you suicide, collect item, bombing and even how rapid you shoot affects the game difficulty nod.gif I'm still learning this game every time I play it.

Added on January 31, 2009, 7:06 pmI wonder how do you guys maintain your retro consoles hmm.gif Curious because that's what I'm doing right now

Well you need to keep them running for hours once in a while or else the internal batteries (irreplaceable) will die

I think I bought it for $80.. can't really remember blush.gif

I don't really have specific way to keep up the retros, just turn them on for hours once a while to make sure the lens still reading and battery still running. Also keep them out from the sun, especially white/grey consoles

Oh, it's a problem with the controller port, not the controllers. You must be pluggin in and unplug while your DC is on? hmm.gif Never do that

He just bought it recently I believe hmm.gif Still a newbie laugh.gif

Some shmups you shouldn't miss on Saturn shahreza:
1. Battle Garegga
2. Batsugun (ancestor)
3. Cotton 2
4. Cotton Boomerang
5. Thunder Force V
6. Layer Section
7. Shienryu

Those Strikers 1945 and DonPachis are better on PS1

Going to get regular edition.. By Limited you mean the stick right? I might consider that if it's reasonably priced, not something like Otomedius stick though sleep.gif

@gundam... have u use this stick be4?
last time round i bought 2nd hand US DC console, the owner gave me this joystick as well
it needs repair and proper cleaning... few buttons not working properly... also dirty here n there  rclxub.gif

No, I haven't used those before as I already own the Agetec stick. You may want to take off the whole thing from bottom and clean the inside and check the connections, shouldn't be hard. If they are snap fits you could even replace the buttons, but I'm not sure what buttons might fit hmm.gif
