actually dont really like this new version after installing...i can't customize the menu icons and there's this annoying big FlashGet banner on top...can't removed it...and worse of all, seems like not compatible with previous version. I wan to copy over my download history (Default.jc...) but seems the new version didnt create this file...

open source mean the source code of the program are open to public, and they are encourage to copy and distribute it.... like Linux
freeware does not have to be open source, open source does not have to be free too but mostly are free, Microsoft got some are freeware too, but doesnt seem they disclose the source code
didnt try with Safari... i dun use Safari in Vista... kinda looks odd on Vista and some plug-in issue...
there is link for 2.0 on the flashget website.. but they still put 1.9.6 as last stable release i think
overall... the speed and performance still roughly the same as 1.7... better interfacing, i didnt use 1.9.6... got the advertisement thing inside when the last time i installed

i installed this new FG2 but i think i prefer 1.9.6
it does not work well with RS (premium users)..
1.9.6 is more RS friendly
