If got A2DP, it will drain the battery like opening tapwater. You'll be tethering your iPhones to a power cable already.

We need to prioritise what is NICE to have, and what is a MUST have. A2DP is NICE to have, but battery life is a MUST have, otherwise showing off to friends that your iPhone can do A2DP and AVRCP but battery gone flat in half an hour later, is not practical.
I have the Sony NZW-A829 and DR-BT50, both are A2DP and AVRCP certified. But they are marketed and made specifically to do those, so Sony made them work with their battery life. They are first and foremost a DAP (Digital Audio Player) + BT Headphone combo, while the iPhone is first and foremost a phone. I certainly dont want my iPhone to go flat on me and lose a phone for that matter, just because I want to hear music without wires. Audio via A2DP are not without flaws anyway, unless done proper. |
