47th Day 01/09/08 (Robbery)
There's one incident that happened on that day shattered our mood for another shopping trip. We witnessed a robbery that taken place near the Wangsa Maju LRT station. Two little Malay punks (Maybe 15 or 16 years old) snatched a handbag from a Chinese female when they were speeding through the street on their motorbike. With their lousy handling of bike and nervousness, they bumped a car and fell. An Indian came up and grabbed one of the kid but he managed to escape by hitting him with his helmet. After that, he just ran. The other kid stood up and tried to ride his motorbike to flee. The Indian who still won't let up grabbed the handle of the bike and pulled as hard as his could to stop him from fleeing. In the end, the kid lost control of his bike and went towards us. Luckily, he hit a fence in front of us and fell. With his bike crushed, he ran like hell. We're fortunate that the bike didn't ram us. If he ever lay a finger on my mom, trust me, I'm gonna rip his throat out.
We was really taken aback by that incident, especially my mom. She said that she was very disappointed about the people in KL. For god sake, it's Raya and those Malay kids (We know they're Malay because they wore baju kemeja and sarung) actually committed robbery during this Holy day. What hurts the most is that the pedestrians just stood there watching as if they were watching some sick movies while eating popcorn. The girl screamed for help and no one took any action except the Indian guy. Mind you, there were a lot of beefy guys during that time, eating their sweet breakfast. If we're not separated by a fence, I'll definitely beat him to death. I have a deep hatred against lowly crooks because I had been robbed once too. My mom was deeply affected because no one wanted to help that poor girl. My mom told me that once, a female customer in my mom's shop was robbed by a guy and he sped off immediately. All my mom's male customers soon afterward got on their cars and chased him to get her handbag back. "Are all KL people very selfish and only mind their own business? Why no one want to help that girl? The Malays already fell from their bike, someone should just catch them before they escaped." My mom kept bombarded with these question.
We went to Midvalley and One Utama afterward. We didn't enjoy ourselves due to what happened.
