hey guys im considering this uni as one of the unis that i will sign up for next year (feb intake), can i know what's the best thing about university of nottingham? and what's the worst thing about it? lol no offense tho, just asking for opinion from students there.

one thing i love about this uni is it's an international university. Monash is one of them too. What's so special about this uni that will beat the rest of the unis in malaysia?

Staying on campus or off campus is better? how's the internet connection in both on and off campus accommodation? hahaha, i'm one of the people who can't live without internet laugh.gif

thanks guys

Thank you jasperng for the info, appreciate it smile.gif

Is there anyone who studied in malaysia campus and went to other countries (US, UK, AUS) to work? Is it hard to find a job there? How about the working visa?

I think the salary in malaysia is just too little. You will take a decade to fully cover back the high expenses in university.

By that time you need to get married, have kids, have many investments, and properties lol

I don't know how am I going to buy a bungalow with salary rm5000 a month. wink.gif

I think it would be more towards experience. Might not have the chance in the future.

We can earn by working there? I thought even the fees are already a few thousands?

anyone has any idea why the website for the university is so slow?

Can we choose our major in the engineering courses? For example: Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering but major in petroleum?

QUOTE(pekies @ Nov 6 2008, 01:59 AM)
the only thing that will stop you from going usa is failed the US visa interview. My agent once told me that all malaysians under her passed the US visa without any problem.

To answer your question, nope, i paid the deposit 1st and select my employer later, without knowing who the employers are. There is no assurance of places in WAT, just 1st come 1st served basis when choosing for employer. Like certain employer only have like 15 slots for malaysian, so 1st come 1st served. There will be more than enough places for everybody from all the employers combined.

We have to pay the deposit first but it's not 100% that we will get? So how about next year? Anyone going? rclxms.gif

I emailed speedwing and they said we were allowed to choose our employers somewhere in early february.

Do we really need to find someone to fill up the reference form to apply into UON?

It was stated there that they are unable to process the application without the reference.
