Lolz, hello everyone.

I am interested to persue my foundation and FAM here.
Yet the fees are really expensive,
so i am still considering.

Do you all think the fees really got its worth in this campus?

Is the living cost high?
How much does it costs for a meal in campus?
Thanks biggrin.gif

Does the foundation fee rm 5500 per semester and degree rm25k per year included exam fee ?

The textbook need to pay extra to buy it is it?
Any additional fees?

The fees you stated are inclusive of exam fees. Or should I say, there is no stipulated exam fee. However, there is a fee charged for resitting exams in the event of receiving a fail.

No additional fees are required.

Textbooks are just recommended textbooks that the lecturers might refer to during lectures or providing notes. It is entirely your choice if you wish to buy them. These books are also available for loan from the university's library. Note that students are also selling used books at a much cheaper rate, usually 50% or even lower.

Oh..okay.
Thanks so much ya biggrin.gif

In my opinion, the fees for bachelors degree is worth it (it's a British University Degree) but for foundation it's quite costly. For me, I did my A-level in TAR College, and since I was a recipient of their merit scholarship, it cost me less than RM3000 (including exam fees) for the whole course.

A meal on campus would could cost as low as RM3.50 - RM4.50 or as high as RM15 depending on what you take/order. There are 3 eateries on campus currently (I think they'll be adding a forth one soon) and if you have a car, you could drive to Broga/Semenyih for meals.
*
Ya, I found that foundation is costly too as I'm not from affluent family.
So, how do you get the merit scholarship in TARC?
Apply using SPM result or Alevel?
For business student, what subject can I choose in A-level?
Can I have my foundation in other college then proceed a degree in Nott? haha.
But I think the foundation programme in Nott is quite good. It's quite packed.

I applied using my SPM. It's given automatically:
8As - 75% scholarship for tuition fees
9As and above - 100% scholarship for tuition fees
(A - either A1 or A2)
You must maintain 60% for every tests in order to maintain the scholarship.

For subjects, check out this website:
http://www.tarc.edu.my/acad/spus/acad_spus.htm

I'm not sure whether foundation programmes for other universities are accepted at UNMC but I think it's best to call them (03-89248000) or email them: enquiries@nottingham.edu.my
*
A-level arts?
Haha, how is TARC? Is it nice?
So, do you have any other comment on UNMC? haha...
I wish to know more.. rclxms.gif

The last i asked if they accepted MUFY (Monash University Foundation Year), they said yes. I don't quite remember what the exact entry requirements were, but, I do remember that achieving that grade was somewhat impossible (i believe about 80 and above), and I totally ditched the idea of taking MUFY.
*
Then I think it is better for me to take foundation in commerce in UNMC..
though it is rather expensive.
But I think it may help me to prepare well for my live in UNMC..haha!

Definitely. the Foundation Programme in Business and Management at UNMC will provide you extensive academic knowledge and experience required for you to perform well in the First Year Degree Programmes. It also gives you a well rounded exposure before entering into first year, such as examination and assignment requirements, study skills, and of course, mingle well with the community on campus which comprises of various nationalities and cultures - thus: a smooth transition from high school life into a full fledge university.

It may be a hectic programme, but it's all worth while, as everything you undergo will contribute to your own personal development - and it is how hard you work that determines your success.

By the way, you can choose 2 semester (July Intake) or 3 semester (April Intake). I would suggest you take the April Intake, as you have an extended/head start period compared to your peers from the July Intake. By then, you will already be familiar with almost everything on campus, and won't be in a daze when July comes around.
*
I wish to enroll for April intake too..
But I've NS from March to June..
So..I'll be there on July. Haha.

If you have already enrolled, I believe you can defer NS right?
Defer for a few years, and at the same time search for a doctor.. *ahem ahem*
*
Ya. Certainly .
Yet, I intend to go tongue.gif
It may be a good experience rclxms.gif

Hello.
Hmm,
If I pursue foundation in Nottingham after SPM,
can I apply for Tinggi Foundation Scholarship for my degree?

And is it hard to maintain my average mark at 60%?

How much does it cost for the internet connection in the hostel?
Does the campus provide Wifi??

Rental let's say RM350/month?
Food RM15 per day.
Toiletries RM20/month.
Printing/Photostating RM30/month.
Books (photostat) +-RM200 /course.

So it's about.. RM870 for a normal life?
*
Hmm..
I heard that books could be borrowed from library is it?
200 per course..every month ? shocking.gif

65%? not 60% meh? erm.. i dunno bout u, but for me it's quite easy to maintain >60%.. as long as u put some effort then it wont be hard. i score my 1st year with an average >70%, so it's more than enuf. but i dunno bout the other course's examination standards. mayb harder mayb easier.. also depends on yr year thou.. mayb for a same course, year 1 will be easier than year 2 or vice versa..
*
It's 65% for foundation and 60% for bachelor degrees.
I'm heading to Foundation in Business, but heard that it is tougher than engineering, Ha. xD
Maybe it is more packed.
Btw, thanks for your info. rclxms.gif

I want to lower my living cost,
it is good if there are room rental lower than 300 and can reach the campus by few minutes walking distance.

Hello,  i want to ask a question about the psychology study. I myself is a commerce student and as you know i already finished spm and waiting for my result. Firstly i have been thinking of getting business course in the university of nottingham. But on second thought, i want to study psychology as well. So as i can see nottingham did have a new programme for psychology. Can i know the detail for this programme and are there any other colleges or universities that provide good business psychology courses as well? Thanks
