-most of the lecturers here r at least with a masters and u can see many lecturers with a title Dr., those without titles r stil doing their PhD research..

-hmm.. mostly locals n mixed some foreign. may vary from course to course..
-lack no, will not enter? rarely, got replacement classes..

the quality control here is quite high i can say..

yaya.. pharm many pure pure leng lui.. business more hot hot leng lui.. lol.. depends on yr "flavour"..

FoE's Chem Eng has the most gals among all eng. courses.. when the ratio of gals is higher, the probability of having a few leng lui oso higher..

Alright, we have 3,200 students according to an angmo that gave us a speech on our induction.

I am still doing my very first semester but let me share with you how do I feel about the lift in Nottingham.
It's like...
Relaxing~ relaxing~.. for a few weeks.. then..
Busying, busying, busying.. for some weeks..
(Then, I guess, relax again, and busy again..)

At first, there's hardly anything you need to do on your own after lectures. You can just go back and rest and relax.
But, assignments will start to be given out and in the end, you will find a lot of assignments due on close dates.
That can drive you crazy as the assignments will not be easy (even if the lecturer claim so..)..
I have friend who travels everyday and is forced to stay overnight in my room to work out the lab reports.

Well, now after the tide of assignments, I am relaxing now.. at least for a few days, before the next assignment due.. and before the tide of exam comes!

The life here is very enjoyable. Nice campus, fresh air, green view..
But, a lot of international students and I feel weird why mostly international students who run for the elections?
You can see a lot of girls here that dress up very well.. (well, not in Engineering I guess...)

If you have the money, I feel that, it's quite worthwhile to spend it here, due to the environment and of course the reputation and quality of education!

problem with chinese (or locals) is that... they come here for one sole purpose. Study and only study. Most of the locals stays within their own 'pack'. In fact, how many locals actually tried to run for elections and tried to make changes to this university? Sad fact, but awfully true. What i hear from peers is 'this should be done', 'that is not right'... but no incentive of any sort to try to make changes..

cn u guys tell me hws the sem break/term break for the foundation n degree programme is? cn tell me a lil more detailed way?
i wanna noe bout it as mayb i nid to work to earn my pocket money

When you are in the university, go to F2, TISCRA 1 or 2 and then access to U drive.
At U drive there, go and look for the Academic Calender that is applicable to you.
Alright, problem solved I guess.

Mobility program is for any of ur study years except first year and final year. During your mobility, you still pay the tuition fees in RM.

If you study in UK for final year, it's called 'transfer'. It's like you transfer to become a student of UK campus, meaning you'll have to pay the tuition fees in pounds but you get to graduate there (if you don't fail, of course).

Some ppl do half here then transfer over to UK, in order to save some $$ since for their 1st year (and 2nd year) they pay in RM.

I've not tried the food their though I've been going back to UNMC every week even when i've been working for almost a year already. But i still always eat out from campus. Best if you have a car, or can car pool with your friends, as there's lots of good food in semenyih, kajang, Bandar Teknologi Kajang, broga, cheras selatan, etc, those not-too-far-of places. Go explore, it's fun. Or ask your senior. You can also climb broga hill, find semenyih dam, drive pass Nirvana@midnight, see the sunset/sun rise @ lookout point, etc.

Nope, don't think foundation is counted as yr 1.

Requirements: average results not below 60 or 65%. and since there's limited space, they randomly pick. so if you'r lucky u get lor.
