for pharmacy you can look into bnf, british pharmacopeia, pharmacology Rang and Dale, Sherwood's physiology, Martini's, Florence and Attwood Pharmaceutics and etc..

You can have a look into Rang & Dale's Pharmacology. It's the book you'll rely on throughout the 1st and 2nd year for Pharmacology. As for other module, the lecturer would only recommend you to read certain part from a particular book. So to most of us in Pharmacy(& other courses too i assume), we don't really buy many books. Just go to the library. Everything's there.
