An Amateur Call of Duty™ 4 : Modern Warfare league is under plans by both [ESP] & [SwL] clans in support of the community.
Although still in planning stages, i'll release some of the details and updates for the events here, so members can view updates here.

Currently there are no major changes to the Malaysian R&R, however there will be some side events that might be added later on for your enjoyment.

The league is planned to start after WGT in hopes to slingshot the community into the planned Call of Duty™ 4 : Modern Warfare Malaysian Regionals in 2009 which is open to regional teams.

The rules and regulations will be updated soon

Rules and Regulations

The Amatuer League restricts players and teams that have been in the top 3 placings from previous NewEra organized competitions to compete. This means that most of the competitors will be either old teams or new ones. Also, organizing members are not allowed to compete, which means [ESP].oNe and [SwL].pEw will not be participants in this event.

===== [ UPDATES ] =====

A Schedule has been set for the League.

The League will commence 2 weeks after WGT, starting 15th November 2008.

The League will run for 10 weeks, stopping in between for side events and holidays.

Here are the finalized details :

Schedule : 1 game a week per group. 2 Games per hour.
Time/Date : Saturday Morning, 10am - 2pm
Restricted Teams are to Marshal the events (Volunteers)
Venue : Blitzone, Damansara Jaya.

Each registered team and player will be put into the gamers database, where your information will be recorded for future use! So you dont have to keep registering all the time!
Also for checking attendance! Dont ponteng skool pl0x!!

League Format
- 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups, each team playing a game against each of their group members
- The top 2 teams from each group will be entered into the grand finals facing off the rest of the teams again in a full double elim playoff
- During the course of the league, special events will be held during the league season.

Special Events
- Side Events that will be free for participants of the league are in planning :-
i) FFA - A 6 man brawl for the best
ii) 2vs2 - A no holds barred 2 vs 2 match
iii) Sniper Arena - Snipers only arena on a secret map, revealed on that day itself
iv) 1 vs 2 (2 admins) first to 15 - A 2 on 1, first to 15 match
v) 1 vs 3 (3 admins) first to 15 - A 3 on 1, first to 15 match
vi) Knifing Arena - An arena for melee experts
vii) Pistoleers - A handgun fight.

* 2-4 of these events will be chosen depending on the status of the league. If the league goes well, we may do more

- Each side event will have a different cash prize and also a different entry fee for non-participating teams (free agents)
- Further details will be announced soon

Free Agents
- Free Agents are good to go!
- Cannot play for the first 2 games and the grand finals
- May join the free agents list for free anytime during the league
- May join side events but with an entry fee
- All agents must abide to the contracts given or face a contract penalty
- All contracts are to be filtered through the commitee to ensure legality and authenticity
- Each team can only play 2 free agents per match and a maximum of 3 per game. (2 playing, 1 sub, 3 in total)
- Free agents must provide their contact details, real name, IC number and IGN to the commitee for registry. (its free)
- More Concrete details to come soon

Registration Fee
Registration Fees are RM 150 per team.

NON-FINALIZED DETAILS
The Cash Prizes are not confirmed but may be as follows : -

Grand Finals Champion - RM 2000 - RM 4000 /w Challenge Trophy - Engraved with the champions name
1st Runner's Up - RM 1500 - 2500 /w some goodies
2nd Runner's Up - RM 1000 - 1500

i) FFA - RM 150
ii) 2vs2 - RM 200
iii) Sniper Arena - RM 300 + some random mice maybe.. + an [ESP] Specially designed for Sniper Champ T-Shirt (Woo!)
iv) 1 vs 2 (2 admins) - RM 150
v) 1 vs 3 (3 admins) - RM 200
vi) Knifing Arena - RM 100 + an [ESP] Specially designed for Knife Champion T-Shirt (YAY!)
vii) Pistoleers - RM 100 + (If you beat me!) an [ESP] Specially designed for Pistol Champion T-Shirt (YAY AGAIN!)

These are sketchy and for all you know might not happen. But we will try our best to reach our goal
If we can get 24 solid teams, ill make sure this will happen XD

The purpose of this league is to build up the CoD4 community here in Malaysia, first and foremost. Give new teams a chance to form up and whoop each other. When it's all stable and there are enough teams, then the old guard can come back and whoop other people/get whooped. =) Pro league in the future? I don't see why not. =)

But jokes aside! correct me if i'm wrong, but this will be the first competitive league FOR Cod4 IN Malaysia? Cool! Kudos to the organiser! You 've my support!

Sounds interesting enough,let's go into detail of every mode and go tinkle with every thing that we can tinkle with to make it so fun till it cannot be fun anymore.

I will be taking that into consideration, but using New Zealands very own rules

The ruleset has a certain setting that most people might like.

"20 seconds respawn, increases by 1 every 10 seconds or so"
"Once it reaches overtime, your lives become more important, therefore the 5 minute timelimit makes everyone move fast "

if there's a meeting, kindly update me on this too.

in the meantime, i'd like to suggest that other game modes be included, like Sabotage as mentioned earlier by evilme. it'll be good to play/see various game modes.

Dun forget about the map. At least change lol. Boring see the same map. hehe xD

yes it's kinda boring too.. but again, other maps might be inba.. like creek.. i think that map is inba

We'll need to discuss it, but later after the SCG because everybody is busy preparing for that now.

dmg counts on wad gun u use + range + hits + attachments

some guns kills in a shot eg: bolt sniper ( M401A + and R700 ) can kill almost anyone at any range unless he bhind a wall or he has jugger ^^

play more often. get used to the guns and u can see the difference

hey guys, i will be meeting up with Grr aka Josh, sometime next week to finalize some of the details. Currently, i hope we will be able to run this tournament right after WGT, straight into the next year.

This will give us enough time for the teams to get ready, mostly because the rules will likely be the same.

Also, i invite all major clan leaders, from the restricted teams to join in this discussion, generally to finalize timing and all.

These are unconfirmed details. Will finalized with the rest this thursday.

Guys from RnF, FFFElites, SWL, are you all free this coming tuesday or wednesday night? its a holiday i believe.

New Details
I've been chatting with King Kong and Pua about venue and prizes.
Generally, you might be looking at a large amount coming from both parties.
However, we are looking into the possibility of having 2 venues throughout the league and the grand finals being at blitzone Damansara Jaya.

The second location proposed was Tbun-wangsa maju, since FFF and RnF teams are from that area.
This however, creates a certain Home & Away situation with some clans, which may require teams to go back and forth throughout the tournament. It is technically fair, unless the request is denied by Tbun Management. This is still unconfirmed as neither party has approached each other on this.

We will try to confirm this by this week.

Rules and Regulations will be similar to WGT, so train up on that. Changes if any, will be minor at best.
