hi all,
my speakers is shared with my pc and ps3. both are connected together at the same time to my speakers via a 1-to-2 jack. i use the connection as laid out at the FAQ. it works but the volume is much less and even when i turn up the volume control, its still too soft. when i unplug my pc in, then the volume comes back full blast. any way to solve this?
thanks in advance

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Oct 20 2008, 01:09 AM) Under your sound settings, increase your line-in/mic-in volume. under my PS3 sound setting just ask you which output you want the sound to use like HDMI, red/white pair, etc...where got increase line-in volume? haha....thumbdrive - ok just pull out....stupid me

how to connect ps3 to pc? of course i connect straight to speakers! pc also connect straight to speakers. using the 2 in 1 plug like this - I am using the method as in page 1 of this FAQ its nothing to do with my speakers cause if i unplug my pc in, the sound will be much louder. just when sharing, it will lose its strength This post has been edited by idoblu: Oct 21 2008, 09:15 AM

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Oct 21 2008, 09:09 AM) I assume you are connecting your PS3 to your PC then through out to your speakers. In that case, of course mic/line-in volume has to be turned up, or else how to hear anything? If you are connecting your PS3 through to your speakers directly, then thats the way it is. The sound is too soft and its a common issue with PC speakers. You want good large sound, you're going to need an A/V receiver or atleast a high-end PC speaker with optical in. ah ok I tried your method! much better now. silly me. i should have connected the PS3 sound output to the line-in on my pc audio card earlier. All good now! thanks!
