QUOTE(xphossis @ Aug 29 2008, 11:40 AM) Guys, anyone place ur PS3 on top of a woofer before? I'm worried will the woofer slight vibration or any magnetic field that will be harmful to the PS3? Thank you! On top of a woofer??? err, I don't think it's wise to put any electronic stuff with moving bits on a vibrating woofer....

QUOTE(slickz @ Oct 3 2008, 11:21 PM) cool little tidbit : plugging in a sony mp3 walkman will cause the music tab in XMB to show the walkman logo for your storage device. Their devices work together! hehe yup! it'll be really embarrassing for sony if it didn't recognize their own devices

Hi everyone and all PS3 gurus, Recently while playing Dead Space, my right speaker starts giving crackling sounds/pops whenever there's a big explosion or fire sounds...has anyone else experienced this on the same game? or on any other game? My ps3 is connected to my mini hifi system via the normal red/white cables I'm afraid my speakers might have blown? but i don't really know how blown speakers sound like i've also googled regarding this and most of the results i get are from users with HDMI/optical connections...some enlightenment would be most helpful

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Nov 5 2008, 04:32 PM) Does it happen with other games or not? I played and finish Dead Space and never did hear any sound cracks at all. I know what you are talking about as I have the same problem with Crysis..... You may have to adjust your equalizer settings properly to remedy the cracking sounds. If after playing around with your equalizer and it doesn't work still, it may be your speaker's tweeters are damaged. I tried turning off the bass enhancement on my mini hifi, and it doesn't crackle anymore....even at the places where it normally does...i've got a bad feeling that it's my speakers that are damaged...i'll try with my headphones or other speakers to see if the problem still persists Thanks for the quick reply and insight Ben
