I will buy a PS3 soon and I got a Ton of Questions

1. can ps3 play dvds movies i mean the ahem dvd movies (copi ones?) not the original dvd movies ?? without any region thingy

2. If i upgrade my HDD from 80gb or 40 gb to higher capacity will it void my ps3's warranty? and will it damage the ps3 ?

3. New PS3 is selling at rm 1800 for 80gb with bundled games and everything when can we buy separate console only it says 80 gb price is rm 1600 will it be available soon?

4. Should I buy PS3 40 gb @ rm 1250-rm 1300 now what will be my disadvantages except for the extra 40gb?

5. How much does hdmi good cables cost?

Another 2 questions for HDD upgrade can i use 3.5 inch drives 500b gb ones? will it have any trouble? or formating trouble?

for hdmi cables if i go with rm 20 cheap cables will it affect the quality of gameplay video or video playback because i want good quality video playback what s the diffrence with rm 50 rm 70 cables?

i meant the video quality? are they same? i saw some guys in youtube use 3.5 hdd

you got officilal hdmi cable for free how? I want to know another thing where can i get hdmi switcher so that i can play ps3 and run my pc at the same time using the same monitor with just i click of the switch i can run both of them .? and how much is the price?

Hi guys I am in Dilemma Between an HTPC and a PS3.
If i buy a HTPC it will cost me minimum RM 3000 Because I would Need a Blu Ray rom but I want a PC because I am a Download freak i dload 24/7 and I keep my PC on .

But If i buy a PS3 can Use it to dload from Internet and Keep it on 24/7???
Not playing 24/7 just keeping it idle 24/7 and it will dload in the Background??

PS3 is a very good Blu Ray Player no doubt costs only RM 1500 so Can I

1. KEEP it on 24/7 and use it to dload from Rapidshare or HTTP sites or from torrent? It uses Ubuntu right??
2.Can PS3 Play HD MKV files which are 1080p and 720p . I know it can play VOB and mp4 but i dont want to convert it because it will compromise the quality.
can it play mkv under yellow dog linux or linux or ubuntu? without any lag for 720p or 1080p mkv files?
