acougan and lord ash, . Hey thanks much for your kind help and also intro into lowyatt leh....really shy to ask since there's so much discussion around made on the network part and ps3..but will do and ask question..with regards to acougan's request. Here you go, appreicate if anyone have the same issue and also scenario so can help me configure....really dumb when it comes to networking....cheers . b) Network Problem. I’m using Belkin G+ Router that integrates both modem and wireless, model number F5D9230-4. I’ve read the thread with regards network problem and have tried to do a static IP configuration for the PS3. I was referred to the site called portforwarding and followed the instructions to setup port 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3658 and 5223 for my PS3 via a static IP. This process I’ve done whilst setting it up in the router. Then went to PS3 internet setting to input the manual IP add config similar to the one which I’ve created in the router. Whilst other options after the manual creation of the static IP in PS3 I just put as auto. Once done I checked the PS3 internet connection and it shows a satisfying 70% signal plus using the static IP add that I’ve registered it with. Further to this, at the bottom of the status screen it’s showing as NAT2, which I believe should not be a problem accessing the network. Thus when to sign in to the PSNetwork, but was was timeout due to error message server is not responding to my request. Btw, my PSN ID is “arachnod”. Accessing internet via the PS3 as well is a bit slow and sometimes is unbearable. Can you help me on this? Also to this configuration by a newbie like me, has caused my laptop to unable to access to the internet (I’m using Macbook Pro)

Hmm can't help you on the wireless part, since I'm using a direct LAN connection.
Hope your TV issues go away tho.

COMPOSITE cables - Red (audio) White (audio) Yellow (video)
S VIDEO - ONE Black cable
COMPONENT - Red,Green,Blue - Video, Red, White - Audio
HDMI - ONE black cable, flat flat a bit
WHY HDMI? Simple. Maximum resolution. Are you sure you using an LCD TV? At least component mesti ada.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Oct 15 2008, 04:57 AM) I'm doing that currently. Connected my PS3 to my X-Fi XtremeMusic. Basically any soundcards/on-board sound will work as long as theres a line-in jack(yea like what soundcard from this day in age doesn't have one? ). Asus VW223B is VGA only. So it basically isn't HDCP compliant and that means you can't use it with your PS3. Eventhough it has its own EZ Link feature which uses USB for its digital input, the PS3 doesn't support that yet at the moment(please correct me if I'm wrong on this, not entirely sure). actually im interested in fixing an external sound card, kinda tedious if i have to use a pc to do the job, most creative external sound card need to be fitted to a pc in order to function,i want a sound card which can operate independently w/out a pc any ideas sifu.
