Yes, you can use 2.1 speaker (which is what I'm using now) with the PS3. You just need the proper converter cable to connect your speaker audio jack to the PS3 AV cable white+red connectors.

@HDMI cable.

i bought a ciplak cable from lowyat plaza for 30 bucks for use with the ps3.
works GREAT.

later on i went to ikano to get a HDMI cable for my dvd player,only could find a supposedly "high quality" cable for 60 bucks.

no choice,bought it.

i've gone back to the shop to change the damn cable 3 times already,still it wont work properly(the image goes off sometimes for no reason..like as if the cable is loose) doh.gif

a few days ago the same thing happened to me.

on the ps3,set remote play,went to my room.

next day woke up,DS3 was DEAD.
the battery was completely FLAT rclxub.gif

the sleep mode didnt work.

no idea why.
had to plug it into the ps3 and charge it for a couple of hours doh.gif
