guys...got a question here...just recently try out p1 wimax to hooked up on my ps3...how to configure the internet setting anyway???i try it a couple of time but still i can't seem to connect to the internet...there a loads of demo need to download as streamyx always make me scream when will the download will be finish??
*
what do you mean? are you using the modem or the usb dongle thing? if you got the modem. then just plug it through the network cable. im not sure how p1 works. but im using amax. the modem itself. although looks like a wifi router. it is only configured to recieve and send info wirelessly to amax. it is not an access point. i had to use my old access point and hook it up to the modem.

this is the best i can help you. i think this should help heheh.

Do you have an AMP that takes in HDMI and out HDMI (to TV)?

depends on ur amp, but most 5.1 system receive optical cable connection. so just get a optical cable and connect wit ur ps3 n ur amp, do the settings in ur ps3 sound setting and all is done. smile.gif

@ USB base 3G dongles for internet

I dont think PS3 has the ability to install the program for that dongle and use it. You hv to hook it up to ur laptop and set PS3 sever proxy with ur laptop so it uses ur laptop wifi connection as ad-hoc and ur ps3 can access it from there.

@ connections sucks

yea been getting very very slow loading speeds, 1GB = 24hrs

anyone using streamyx 4MB connection?? care to express your experience with it?? hope its better...

Bro, I'm assuming you are using IDE. I had the exact same problem before and as far as I can tell, it's a power issue in that the ps3 is unable to supply enough juice. Using a 2 headed usb cable didn't solve it either although the clicking is less frequent.

My suggestion is to use sata instead of ide. You can try a ide-to-sata converter or an ide casing with its own power supply but theres no guarantee that it will work.

Disconnect PS3 from the internet before launching the game if you wanna skip the update.

Well, I wanted to use the ide drive to backup my ps3 data before changing to a new 500gb hdd. In the end I decided not to invest anymore money to solve the problem. I just borrowed a sata casing from a friend and used the transfer to pc method using the original ps3 80gb hdd.

I don't recommend backing up ps3 data to your pc though. I had problems retransferring the data back from pc to the portable drive and gave up in the end after a few days trying causing me to lose all game downloads.

seems it's a widespread problem:
QUOTE
Congrats! You unlocked a Trophy! Time to sync it up with ... Oh, wait. Looks like there's a bug in the PlayStation Network right now, preventing users from syncing their Trophy data with the servers. You won't be able to compare Trophies with friends, with a frustrating error message (80022D27) popping up at every attempt.

Considering the large number of complaints on the PlayStation Forums, it looks as though this is a widespread Network-wide outage. There's no word yet on what's causing this problem or when it'll be fixed. Stay tuned.
