It's been there for quite some time. The iPhone can be selected but no further info is revealed in terms of configuration.

Hope that Digi could help to get iPhone come in M'sia, but i think the possibility is low....

The Government mati mati dowanna give 3G to Digi. Coz of the share issue. Also, Digi is a greaat company that knows what it's doing. If they ever get the 3G, then we will see the true power of 3G. Up to now, the 3G in Msia is like a lame paralized duck that's super lauya. Even Digi EDGE is as fast as the 3G we're currently getting.

Actually Digi already have the license for 3G thru Time dot com purchase. U can read more about it here . I think its in the implimentation stage. My company subscribe the unlimited data plan from digi and they told us that the 3G service will be available by end of this year. If Digi 'tipu' me and my company then I also 'tipu' u all la. Once they upgrade to 3G, our company line will be upgraded also, then its time for me to upgrade to Aifontriji. Line+Internet free maaaa.

Same here, I am a very contented and satisfied DiGi subscriber, in my case, Im a purely data plan subscriber only, no call plans.

I'm not gonna fall into your baited trap and start acting like a Celcom fanboy. It just so happen that I've been using Celcom since my first cellphone, and I dont plan on changing my number just to be on the cheap. DiGi would have to work harder to get me to switch over.

I'm not a big fan of switching sim cards in and out of my Aifontriji either. So Celcom 3G works for me. Not for you maybe, but for me.

I'm a fanboy of nothing. If Maxis suddenly improves in coverage and speed, I'd happily jump ship and point my arse to Celcom. Same goes to other carriers. Being fanboys of local carriers here is stupid when you consider how lackadaisical they are when it comes to imporving themselves.

As far as I know, DIGI plan to launch their 3G services in 2009.

Wah! I din know about the Time deal, havent been up to date for a while. That's indeed good news. Then it will be time to move to iPhone 3G if Digi goes 3G coz they will most likely unleash the power of 3G instead of capping us to EDGE speeds like Maxis n Celcom do.

As far as 3G coverage in Sabah concern. It's limiting on the town area only, Maxis 3G coverage only available in Kota Kinabalu town area only, Celcom 3G coverage a bit better available in Major towns in Sabah, in Lahad Datu only 3KM radius from Kedi Telecom only.....see They 3G licence 3 years ? How to increase userbase ? when you have limited coverage?

My current set up is My Celcom 3G unlimited data plan is for my Laptop when traveling/outstation, My DiGi Edge unlimited Data paln is for my 2G iPhone, Happy with this mobile combination.

My satisfaction level is higher with DiGi than with Celcom. Maybe it is not fair since I dont subscribe to their voice plan, but data-wise, I'm happy.

It is not fair to class the current 3G services available as EDGE-level only, they are sporadic and spotty, but when it works, they are fast. Keywords here are "when it works" Once everybody(DiGi included) moves on with 3G, we can all concentrate on improving the service. More competition always breeds better service. This will become more important once the MNP scheme starts.

I agree with what you said. Due to our government keep on protecting local company, they don't benefit us at all.

Nevertheless, all providers should combine to built the 3G infrastructure rather than built each of their own.

I remembered that I read somewhere that Digi had awarded Huawei to roll out 3G & is expected to be ready in 09 1st quater.They had solved the teething issue on 3G license.I guess after 8 March election,e v thing had changed
