What is the diff between FTSE EMAS index and KLCI index?

All I know is the FTSE EMAS index = FTSE BM 100 index + FTSE BM small cap index.

Can anyone explain to me what is FTSE EMAS index and what is KLCI index??

KLCI index is the index that measure the movement of 100 stocks in KLSE.

FTSE Emas is the index that measure the movement all mainboard stocks in KLSE.

You can google it up the 100 stocks of KLCI component in Bursa website or in most financial news providers which is very easy to find.

btw, is it we can buy KLCI index but not FTSE EMAS index?

Last time EMAS comprises all the stocks in main board. I believe its ceased to exist and replace with FTSE Bursa Malaysia EMAS which comprises the constituents of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia 100 Index and FTSE Bursa Malaysia Small Cap Index.

FTSE Bursa Malaysia 100 Index
Comprises the constituents of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Large 30 and the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index

FTSE Bursa Malaysia Small Cap Index
Comprises those eligible companies within the top 98% of the Bursa Malaysia Main Board excluding
constituents of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia 100 Index

The difference between EMAS and FTSE Bursa Malaysia EMAS are almost negligible. Since penny stock doesn't hold much weight in the index.

U can buy the index of FBM30 thru FB30ETF, KLCI index not sure got such ETF yet.
