Want to buy new gc but have difficulties to choose between these two. rclxub.gif

Gainward have higher clock but HIS must be able to overclock further rite? nod.gif

Can anyone provide benchmark, idle temp, full load temp, etc. thumbup.gif

Plz your help really needed. tQ

The Gainward one has a 0.8ns memory(IIRC), so it would overclock(probably) better than the HIS one(not very sure though).

They both have a 3rd party cooler though. Though, I haven't seen any benchmarks.

currently using a HIS x1950 pro with its so called iceq3 turbo blah2.. really problematic .. noisy... and also damnn hot.

I go 4 gainward la.

Maybe they can handle the temp better coz they've higher clock.

plus have 0.8ns memory & cheaper too.

The Gainward one is already selling at some places at normal 4850 price.


Why wait for HIS again... to screw it up (remember 3870 ICEQ?)

2 also using 0.8ns chip.. buy HIS 4850 iceq4 cooler is hot and noisy than gainward 4850GS.. HIS 4850 just the name and the gc beautiful than gainward only.. but we gamers choose is the performance of the gc....

gainward golden sample for sure... factory oc'ed with same price.. btw, the cooler is extremely great, idle 40 or 30 sumthing with 6% (YES, 6%) fan speed..

My E8400 and 4850 can play Crysis at Very High setting without AA (res 1280x1024) smoothly.

I saw this MSI GC before and I can say that the heat sink is much smaller then I expected but the fan is bigger. I would prefer Gainward 4850GS.

How much power does this thing need?i mean the PSU..i only have 420W cap ayam PSU now using old 7600GT now.. sweat.gif and recommend me one PSU please which is lower than RM250 but it's good blush.gif
