I read from news that Malaysia has not been hit by the economic crisis. Is this true?
In Singapore, the job advertisements on the newspapers are getting thinner.

QUOTE(siaolang @ Dec 29 2008, 06:18 PM) Anybody here can enlighten me about the job market for actuarial science graduate in Singapore? the coy in sg will normally absorb grad from NUS/NTU through campus recruitment because those specialising in act sci are actually top grad in their cohort. I'm a recent graduate in act sci and have been working in KL for a couple of months. Don't feel like staying in KL for long and I'm interested in looking for a job in Singapore. But it seems that insurance company in Singapore don't post openings in jobsearch website such as jobstreet.com or jobsdb.com for actuarial-related job. (esp entry level job) Anyone knows about this particular industry and can share some information with me? Thank you. Given economic downturn, I believe the job opening for act sci will be lower |

anyone know If Singapore IBM is retrenching?
I was called up for an interview with them for a software position, feeling quite insecure as I heard that US has retrenched around 3k employees, and there maybe 16000 employees to be retrenched worldwide according to alliance@IBM. What will you do if u were me? |

Regarding the re-entry permit that is stamped at the back page of our malaysian passport, if our expiry date has passed, this means we are no longer a SPR? Our PR will be revoked?
