Hi all,

I posted this question before but seems like it was drowned among all the posts.

Is the IT industry in Singapore hit hard by the current crisis? What are the chances of getting a programmer job for a TARC degree holder, 1 yr experience with average skill set in .NET?

How many here in IT got their job by travelling down to SG for interview, instead of staying in SG and search for job?

i traveled down to sg for interview a few times before i got my current job.

i'm not sure the IT industry is in a bad shape like india now, maybe we will know after the 1st quarter.

why dont u try to apply for jobs in malaysia and then ask for phone interview 1st, if they r ok with u, then only travel down to sg for face-2-face interview.

yup i did get much more calls for interview after i include a SG number n address in my CV.  biggrin.gif

of coz the best would be stay here n look thru the papers n websites, easier for interviews.

surely u still can find IT jobs here, but i guess its really not as much as used to be. really depends on ur luck too.

maybe i'm lucky, coz i got my current job offer when i'm still in malaysia.
i gave my detail to the head hunter and they help me to find suitable job, but yet u can come to singapore n look for job as long as u got accomodation.
