All my fren just went there all got hired. There is always opportunity there even when economy is so bad. Furthermore, mostly affected is those frontline industry and manufacturing company. So other service sector i dont think will be much affected. No doubt that company has now very careful in hired people. They are now looking for "talented" and im sure interview process ervything will be more strict than before. Just my 20 cents. |

aihhhh i got 3rd interview interview invitation from a MNC as software engineer on the 18th December 2008. Then my current company (which is SUPER small and low paid) doesnt allow me to take leave. So the interview postponed to 22-Dec-08 afternoon. Then the HR gal suddenly call me in the morning on 22-Dec that the manager suddenly got urgent stuff need to go France. so my interview kena postponed. So after 1 week i called, she say manager coming bck on 5th-Jan, will let me know if any updates. Then today i called again, she said " OH, i check whether the manager back or not and let you know" .... sighz.....feel like hangus d....so hard only got until 3rd stage. sad la... If can get there is an SGD 1k increment in my salary SAD!!

QUOTE(CrystalFreakz @ Jan 6 2009, 06:44 PM) Hmm seem like SG many foreginers also...but 1 thing I would like to ask... the criminal rate in SG is very very low right? Part time still have. Some companies prefer that way cause the overhead is lower. No other commitment. So fat those foriegners gone home are the highly paid ones especially those from Fin sector. If really retrench, not jsut Malaysians, locals also kanna.. Don't read too much into those media report on foriegners sure go 1st.. some turth and sometimes, CRAP rubbish and not true. lots will depends on your job and company's nature. what's being practice to date, hoping it will work, reduce working days - reduce pay, keep jobs.. last resort not really up yet for many small companies, but never say never... its a matter of time and when.. will it happen? anyone's guess |
