Yes you can. Just upgrade to 2.0.1 from your 1.1.2 firmware.

If you want the latest big thing in iphone, get 2.0.1
If you want something that is stable and tons of stuff to play with get 1.1.4 Just look in iclarified.com for further details.. |

It would be no problem to go from 1.1.2 straight to 2.0.1. Just remember to set the phone as new. Make sure you back up the data first before setting up as new phone as this will not sync all the data i.e contacts, sms and others back to the phone.
