If I buy a registration number from JPJ, how many months do I have to register it before it expires? JPJ's website is very confusing: This guide says 3 months: http://portal.jpj.gov.my/v5/index.php?opti...w〈=en&id=33QUOTE Applicants who have settled their payments should register their numbers within THREE (3) month from the date of the result. And this guide says 1 month: http://portal.jpj.gov.my/v5/index.php?opti...temid=1〈=enQUOTE Applicants who have settled their payments should register their numbers within ONE (1) month from the date of the result. Any ideas? This post has been edited by basher: Aug 15 2008, 12:06 AM

QUOTE(rkjsoo @ Aug 15 2008, 12:09 AM) lol , doesnt matter get it done within 1 month and you will be hassle free , why wait while you got the time to do it ? right ? Of course I wish I can register it in a month but having some stock problem. Might take sometime beyond 1 month.

QUOTE(badguy03 @ Aug 15 2008, 12:16 AM) I have thought about the same problem before. Cause i might need to buy special plate number with the special Alphabet before got enough down payment for the dream car. Right? Problem is, how are you going to keep the plate number to not expired. Well I've thought of a way but not sure it works or not, that is to get a very cheap or any old vehicle (motor perhaps) and register the new plate first (this will abandon the previous old plate of that vehicle). Then when you got your destinated car, change the plate again at JPJ. Hope it works.. Thanks for the info. But I'm not buying any special number plate with 1 digit or unique numbers. Just a running number which I like. Besides, it is not that I haven't decided what car to buy yet but just that I would need more time for stock to arrive. If it is only 1 month, I would risk losing the number and part away with RM210 just like that. The register onto a cheap motor idea is smart tho. I might do that if I got a 1 digit number plate for future dream car purpose. This post has been edited by basher: Aug 15 2008, 12:20 AM
