price of the material used.... PVC is a very cheap plastic, with PVC you have to pour it hot into the metal mould, dangerous if not in a factory setting. Casting using cold cast is easy, almost anyone can DYI with the materials.. the mould could be anything that could withstand up to 60 to 70C (resin reacting temperature) and does not react with the resins, mostly silicon is used as mould, but soft clay will also do...
