Hmm.. I think my first one shall be a Volks Doll of Saber... saw it and fell in love  rclxm9.gif
Dolls with high articulation with real cloths could be deemed as a different category from figurines/statues...

Volks Dolls are more inline/similiar with the action figures by Hottoys/Medicom/Sideshow

b.t.w. that particular Saber is 2 feet tall and cost about RM5k

Nice. Same body with different clothes?
I would say standard Volks doll body with the appropriate eye colour... the doll comes undressed and with no hair... you will have to play dressy...dressy (like barbie) with it... 02 and 03 are optional "dress sets" that would be bought separately

from the following blog page..

or... you could buy the 1/6 orbitsu doll bodies that (about 12inches in height) that cost about RM40 to 60. and buy/create the head and dress separately...

b.t.w a 60cm body similiar to Volk's Saber could be had for about RM600.... an Obitsu body... from hlj...

Do I have to paint the head myself?
sure, paint the eyes, lips, brow and plant the hair and make the cloths... or buy the parts/head/glass eye balls separately... a cheap alternative, and maybe better than buying ready made ones, custom, only one in the world.

Where to get those? Do they sell them at hardware shops? Don't do soldering so I don't know much about such drills.
or cheaper still the rm3 or rm5 shops with lots of china goods, they sell the drill bits/heads in sets a drill bit size about 1mm or 2mm in diameter will do... in fact most supermarket chains like Giant/Parkson also carries them....

A method for pulling out stuck pegs... drill into the peg, half screw (slightly bigger diameter then the hole) into it, it will give you some leverage to allow you to wiggle out the peg with a plier

Yen increase because many investors are moving Yen back to Japan (due to the Economic crisis)... Since 2000 a lot of Yen has been moving out of Japan due to their low interest rate, investing abroad..

Good news is yen is dropping (peak at 8 Oct, with 99 yen to 1 USD, today 101 yen).... it will likely to drop further if japan wants to be competitive in the export sector... Basic supply and demand for the value of currency, Eco. jitters sent investment back to Jap. with purchase of Yen ... If you hold a lot of yen now, sell it at around this the peak to buy RM... u may earn at least 8% from a month ago, or 25% (a year ago)

Daiki's 1/4 scale Holstein cow girl (Hanako-san) sculpt by Toushiro of Cobra-Kai coming Jan 09 by Daiki... with a good probability of frontal cast-off.
Going by Daiki's history... I bet they will produce a brown Guernsey cow version as MaxFactory has done with their 1/7 Hanako...user posted image

Ya correction to my post... it is Megahouse.... why... Size is one(1/4 against 1/7)... The Legendary sculptor, Toushiro is another ... (Besides I got both versions of the Megahouse ones, and Toushiro's resin 1/4 too).

FFFFFFFFF, doesn't do international shipping.

Their domestic shipping is dirt cheap too. 500yen for shipping to anywhere in Japan. So SUGOI
With the current exchange rate it is about RM 70+, plus 500 Yen it is about RM90 + . I got them to ship for free once. It is 500 yen per shipping. If you order 50 items or 1 item you pay only 500 yen. Amazon jp does free shipping in Japan and they have bargains just like/better then Amiami sometimes.
