seaedge,

Base on the video on metacafe, they did a comparison with a real dyno machine and has only a minor run off percentage.

Was planning to get the software too but the downside is i m on 1.1.4 lol sigh.

nimrod2,
Its wireless, just by using the accelerometer on the iphone. (did i spell that right?)

wah lau so fast u go buy the app lmao, let me know on the outcome of the dyno ya. From what i gather, its only a 2%-5% run off from the actual dyno machine. You just need to have the accurate weight your car and the rest its up to the program.

Looks like Seaedge can open dyno shop now lar... RM20 per run hehe

i tried this after i successfully update my iphone to 2.0.1.

first i tried on my friend's ride, surprisingly, it didnt show any horsies... only some speed calculation. then i try calibrating, but it just stuck there. so i guess this dynolicious isnt fully finalized. i read the FAQ, it seems there is a fix for that but appstore havent release it i guess. the skidpad works great. my car accelaration is 0.32G...

i shall try more later on.

Added on August 15, 2008, 8:54 aminserting the right number for the ride setup is crucial. if not it just wont work. i try tilting using my hand to imitate the accelaration... i got 234HP @ 0.82G accelaration... gile. macam super turbo charged car.

wah not bad huh, your wrist can produce 234hp with 0.83G thumbup.gif

ok on a serious note... So, looks like u gotta strap the unit down to some part of the car for an accurate reading. Hopefully u get to download the newer version with minimal bug soon. Planning to get this app too but after i get my 2.0 Firmware.

Keep us updated ya!

hehehhehe... i think this shud be done on one straight highway... like sepang road or so... anyway the car weight shud be the same with the brochure+ the things added in ur car with +/-.. i put 1100kg for my car with 15% drivetrain loss.

i finally know how to do the calibration. tongue.gif

Hmm decided to buy tis baby & give it a try.

Tried at KL-Seremban h/w yesterday evening.

Max spd : 74.3MPH
Max accl: 1.39G's
Peak HP: 176HP

Strangely though, the average stats seems to be out. Any of you experience the same thing?

Looks like calibration of the weight of the car has to be precise too for an accurate reading.

simple, just delete your ride and start a new fresh page.

then when you go for this dyno, the iphone must be standing vertical or on flat surface and must not be able to move.

1.39G is more than turbo car. tongue.gif u just have to find a long, straight and even roads without uphills...

i try my car with normal speed. only 0.29G with 46hp. hehehehehhe speed only 61kmh

Most probably the iPhone with the dock will fly off the center pedestal to the back of the cockpit, because the thrust generated by the plane would be pretty substantial. Fun, but dangerous with flying objects inside the cockpit. tongue.gif

that apps is actually quite accurate, although sometimes it is wrong, and i already drive till more then 100kmh d, it only detect 60kmh nia

but when its accurate, its damed accurate, especially for the HP and 0 to 100kmh one

coz i dyno my car before, and i test myself 0 to 100kmh using stopwatch b4....its really close and realy an amazing apps
