Its using GfWL and Securom, and if that doesn't fit your description of "crazy" then no.

The Securom check currently disables Glide if it determines that you're using a pirated copy (Kinda like what it did in ArmA where it would slowly deteriorate your game into an unplayable mess).

Also, there's some free DLC coming out a day after launch, so pirates won't be able to enjoy that as well

the only thing that stop me for buying BAA is the short gameplay hours.

Currently the free DLC being offered are the extra challenge rooms. The Joker campaign is currently a PS3 exclusive, but as Cheesenium said, it might be also free for PC.

Also Cheesenium, I hope you're referring to the new paid DLC for Mass Effect. Bring Down the Sky was laughably short and I feel sad for the Xbox fellas who had to pay for it (Or maybe I haven't been tainted by paid for DLC and thus have no idea how to value it).

Actually, I highly doubt its 50 hours as Mass Effect on its own is barely half of that.

IINM, the new DLC that just came out introduces a new hub area (For what purpose I have no clue) and some challenge rooms or some shit.
