QUOTE(RyoKenzaki @ Oct 12 2008, 06:41 PM)
Ar!!! I shouldnt have do this!
Juz nw when i observing my freshly molted Dark, i gt excited and try2 handle it
When it crawling on my palm it cant cling well and FALL from my shoulder lvl!!!!
I quickly pick it up and check if anything wrong
Its abdomen bleeding! Gosh!!!!!
Now i isolated it from Light in another container after i apply some super glue on the wound, hoping tat it ll stop the bleeding......
Im damm regret for handling a freshly molted scorpling even though i knw i shldnt have do this.....
I hope it ll be alright else i might consider quit keeping scorp if it dies........
*
QUOTE(RyoKenzaki @ Oct 12 2008, 09:33 PM)
We did apply super glue to stop the bleeding for arachnid
It ll came off after they molt, im did nt do tat without research...
Anw, i juz back from COD my remaining 5scorpling, Dark'd passed away.............
*
sorry for ur loss bro.

this should be a reminder to every1 that pets like scorpions and tarantulas should never be handled unless really really necessary no matter it just moulted or not, hope every1 learned a lesson from this incident

LoL....sorry, shouldn't be using the "another" word..will edit it  tongue.gif
It do react to vibration, just not as much as before.
I thought it is weak cause usually when i open the cover, or even knock a little, it will straight away react aggressively, but not this day
*
maybe going to moult, who knows, or its just being lazy

does the babies need a substrate to molt ?? sorry first time my afs breed..

wat type of substrate should i put??

i only put some barks as substrate.. can i use that ?
*
barks are not considered as substrate, they are just decorations for the tank and can be used as a hide, and for substrate u can use coconut fibre, if u dunno where to get any u can contact leetplayer as he is selling it, and not only ur scorplings nid substrate, even the momma also nid cause the substrate helps provide humidity for them and a more natural habitat

i see that u guys are talking abt handling scorpions, just keep in mind there always will be a possibility of u getting stung at any time, imho just handle only when really necessary to avoid stressing it out and to avoid getting stung

no it doesn't. It's just plain ugly. But no, it doesn't kill them.
*
mites do kill scorpions, tarantulas, centipedes if there is too many of them, if they wont kill why are we worried whether they have mites or not
