no, nothing like subzero temperature. juz wondering where is the best place to keep a scorpion (should I choose to get it). The coco fiber/peat moss thingy, its sold in bags is it? whats the rough cost for maintaining these scorpions? can i keep a scorpling in those guppy tanks that are commonly used for turtles?
Im not from north (despite the nick). Its a different version of my older nick - coconutice - which was a bit too common
Coco fiber is sold in bags at 1U Home Centre, gardening section. RM2-3 for a small bag which is enough for 5-10 small guppy tanks depending on the amount of coco fiber used per tank.Im not from north (despite the nick). There is basically no cost in maintaining scorpions, not unless you count the RM1 you'd be spending on crickets/mealworms every month. And yes, you can keep a scorpion in guppy tanks. A scorpling would do fine in the smallest variation of the brand.
If you're wondering, you should provide enough coco fiber for your AFS(which I presume you'll be getting) to burrow. They are, afterall, a burrowing species. A small water dish in the form of a mineral water bottle cap would suffice(for a scorpling). The substrate should be kept moist at all times and there is no need to change the substrate but of course, you can change it if you think it needs changing but personally I've not changed my AFS enclosure's substrate since February.
