Just got myself a scorpion today. I think its female ASF from the pincers.  I just put some small tree branch inside.  Took it out now..mites are a real problem? Guess have to boil it first.  What about the soil? Need to boil also?

Ryo, what's the requirement for a baby to adult scorpion?

That is not a suitable environment junshern222.
If that is AFS that u own, probably u will need soil that can absorb water well and can hold the moisture
U can either use Coco Fiber (recommended) or Peat Moss (can mix a lil bit wif coco fiber if u wan).
Using random soil will make your scorps stress out due to their original habitat.
Pot as shelther is good, but the way u set the pot won't make a good hide for your scorp..
Set the pot like a cave ( dark n deep) so that your scorp will be more happy to burrow or rest there during day.
The dinosaur there is quite good...keep up the good work. Let your scorp fight wif that toy....GRAWLLLL!!!

Hi everyone....got some new scorpion from ryo..nice... by the way..... i put some meal worms in cant find their body....and 2 of my scorpy look abit fat..so i assume they eaten... but not really sure..... another 3 looks thin and didn eat...mealworm already die will they eat? and i found 1 meal worm dig in the soil leaving his ass out...dead also....

By the way how can u really tell if they eat or not? cant seem them eat  though

lol, tag, that's what I do. crush the head, cut in half, stuff the mealie with juicy end under Timmy's mouth parts. Then he clips on both half mealie and eats it like ice cream.

BTW, ryo, Timmy has more white than grey. I haven't been feeding him more than twice a week. Is it normal? Cuz my Clip had his white sides expanded according to how much it eats.

Btw, i saw most of the keepers using peat moss as substrate, izzit possible to use spagnum moss ?
Does it also need a thick layer of substrate for its convenience to molt ?
