I struggled so hard to keep my rage in check. Lucky you're here, I have little patience for these shenanigans.

See it from our side. Imagine being ask the same questions, again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again.....

How would you feel? Have the courtesy of looking for answers first instead of posting a new thread in here flailing your arms in despair for answers.

Now you know, so use that knowledge to good use.

Otherwise , go to www.iclarified.com and type your queries there.

We are not stingy with our knowledge, it is just that we had the same thing being thrusted to our face and the ones asking expect a prompt answer as if we are paid by Apple themselves. Nobody's doing things here under salary, it is on a voluntary basis. Imagine having to deal with the same complaints day after day after day after day.......sigh....

well, if u have intention to unlocking it, i bet u would do google bout it instead of hoping into LYn user to answer ur question. u will find several complete tutorial if u try looking for "pwnage/ winpwn tutorial" in google. our pro & sifus user here also refer to the tutorial actually..

Hey Salience, hope you got the solutions to help your friend out. Thank you for understanding that is quite tiring to answer same questions over and over again.

We're here to help and not to bring ppl down. Do more research on the iphone and you will learn alot from diff websites.

Cheers

lol

effort has gotta start somewhere. and that effort is here:)

it's subjective.
then again, i'm taking the effort to research on lyn instead of asking my friend to walkinto a store and shake his leg while he gets his phone done:)

it's a matter of perspective dude

and for the record, i don't even know what the hell is pwnage or wimasdap whatchamacallit was. or exactly what it is. going to try unlocking the phone based on this guide now:

http://www.appleiphoneapps.com/2008/07/how...n-20-jailbreak/

hope all goes well smile.gif

I was a noob once. But I learn not to step on anybody's toe by being independent, by finding the answers myself. Only once I have exhausted all means of resources I can possibly muster with my limited knowledge, that I would ask the pros. Even by that time, I would already have a general outlook on things, so by then when the pros impart knowledge on me, I would easily and immediately "get it", because I have done my own searches. It makes it easier for me to understand, and easier for the pros to explain to me because we are talking on the same wavelength.

These "help, help, I'm flailing my arms up in the air for help!" syndrome is more akin to panic and desperation, and wanting the answers fast. Fast solutions almost always guarantee disastrous results, because you act on it in desperation and your state of mind is in panic. The best thing to do is to do things in a calm, orderly and well-informed fashion, and that includes preparing yourself beforehand, well before you actually own these iPhones, with vital informations in hand. Dont la until when you already get the iPhones baru want to rush here and there for answers!

Being an iPhone user is no longer a walk in the park, you have to arm yourself with the basic knowledge before you would consider getting one. That's the way I see, but a lot dont do it that way.

i'll post up more questions as my process arises tongue.gif for more real time deal smile.gif

btw, quite frankly, i bought the iphone on a whim, just because i spotted a deal. smile.gif

And dont you think that is why you are in a bit of a rut now? Because on a whimsical purchase, you didnt armed yourself prior with the necessary info to deal with situations like these?
