u dont "just" share DLC, u share the whole PSN account and its download history

once u hit the limit of 5, can start another sharing account smile.gif

top up entropay, then top up the PSN account, then go delete the credit card details. should be safe for entropay account owner and the 4 other sharers.

the process to de-activate is also quite easy. just ask the original owner for the p/word again, login, go to Acc. Management and choose "Deactivate account" - then can delete the user if no longer needed.

almost like "renting" PSN games from fellow LYNers smile.gif

haha, ofcos after de-activate the game is no longer playable.

its just that earlier posts mentioned about "sharing" problems, so for the original account owner it is best they understand the activate and deactivate process.

that y kena create 1 account/games..then bru ble sharing senang...

yes, if u can find gamers with similar "taste" then it is easier to share.

for example 5 music game fans can just share RB DLC with 1 acc. 5 action/racing fans can share action/racing games and so on.

The matter might be closed but I still want to know if someone did abused the dlc and their names of course.

i don't think any LYN forumer abused the DLC, they just misunderstood the activate/de-activate process (5 PS3 per account).

if u create a new user and recovered the account it will auto-count as 1 activation. even if u delete the user, the activation is still counted. the only way is to ask the original account holder for the p/w again to login and de-activate it properly.

want to start playing LBP for CNY.

sharing LBP Asian Add-ons/DLC only using SGP acc. i'm hoping to buy & share more costumes in the future (Kratos, SFII, FF, etc).

have 0 empty slots at this moment:

Add-ons (bought so far)
Animal Costume Pack 4.29
Resistance Chimera Costume 2.9
MGS4 Costumes 8.49
MGS4 DLC/Add-on pack 8.49

so price to share is 2.5( exchange rate) * 0.2(i'll find 4 other sharers) is RM12, for now

interested? pls PM

i think i'll write some mini-FAQ regarding activations and the PSN DRM system (it is quite confusing)

*this apply to most PSN games and Add-ons
(some exceptions are Warhawk, GT5P, SOCOM, Singstar songs, etc. bro Rezuan78 explained abt SOCOM's DRM earlier)

1. every PSN account has a maximum of 5 activations (this will not be listed down anywhere for the end-user) the PSN servers will actually "record" the number of activations in their database.

2. everytime you try to recover the account on an unique PS3, it will try to auto-activate. if it reaches a maximum of 5, it will display an error message

3. you can activate and de-activate your PS3 system via Account Management. after de-activation, the games "owned" by that account on that system will not work unless it is activated again

4. if u just delete the account/the User/the games off the HDD without 1st doing the de-activate process, the account is still activated on the PS3!

5. after de-activation, the account will still have a maximum maximum of 5 activations (e.g. 5 activated PS3 + 1 de-activated PS3 later on = 4 activations with 1 empty slot)

6. whether someone downloads 1 item or every item from the account download history, it will always be considered as 1 activation (slot).

e.g. gamer A shared his accountA with gamers B, C, D and E for some items.
gamer A can not then share future items with gamer F even if B, C, D, E never login to accountA anymore.
the only way to regain any slot is to ask any of B, C, D, E to de-activate on their end.

*that means the most efficient method of sharing PSN purchases is to buy in a group of 5 and stick within that group.

7. currently, a PS3 can have a maximum of 16 USERs

NOTE: the way to "own" an account is to always remember the DOB and the secret Q/A you used when registering the account. as long as you remember these 2 answers, you can change the password at any time.

just topup my sg acc again.no prob so far.maybe u guys can call ur cc bank to confirm the verified thingy.psn wallet doesnt require 3d secure pass to confirm our cc like other on9 shop or entropay.
*
so, your case confirms [rhb travel money mastercard] can work if the address is similar (replaced with SGP postcode)

anyone else having any success using their MY CC to top-up on SGP PSN store? please share the details. LBP kratos/GoW pack coming this Thurs cry.gif
