It is legal. Only SHARP OBJECTS are illegal, even for a small army knife.

Baton are legal to own and sell. It's legal to carry it around. Should keep 1 for self-defense.

Police are not blind, they know if you use it's for self-defense. With the current crime rate, I think having some self-defense weapon is a smart move. This post has been edited by ulun64: Oct 25 2008, 03:01 AM |

Do what I always do.i carry a police t-baton retractable,a bendable baton, two telescoptic baton, two traffic wands, and a lantern flashlight.this I carry to office every day and another bag carry my legal authorities. If police stop me,take out the legal authorities and ask them to check it up. If come to worse, hire or ask your personal three lawyers and make hell for police. Police have NO rights to arrest someone if that someone have nothing to do with investigative papers or cases.police cannot simple arrest someone with a charge sheet or kertas Dakwaan for the prosecutor office.or just ask them to read their amended police dicispline act. Come to worse, just hire a lawyer and personal guard since the crime rate in Malaysia is so terrible nowadays.self defense? then the "so bangga police" will said "malaysia very peaceful, police very good" and when u reply "bullshit, police in malaysia so corrupt and lousy" at the end , u might need to sit inside lockup, if unlucky, beaten to death and died in lockup.
