I would like to know the price of the new Nissan R35 GT-R in Malaysia, since I'm from Sabah, I don't have much opportunity to check out the price of the resellers in KL.

I last saw its around RM 680k+, somemore is there a lot of R35 resellers in the KL area? I know Naza have a few, I saw a few ads in AutoTrader too.
Anyone know approximately what is the current resellers' price? I'm looking for a new JDM Black Version + Bose ICE as option.

if am not mistaken, it used to be 6xxk on white when i went for a test drive in zm at bangsar sometimes ago.
back then, only 2 unit was available in malaysia. naza is offering 'em at 7xxk black.
due to the intense marketing that matched by the car's performance itself, recent price increased by more than 50k. may vary depending on the factory specification and aftermarket add-ons.

Thanks for all the reply, very nice of you guys sharing the price and discussing. thumbup.gif
So I should be expecting around 780-800k for one now, damn, such a big premium to pay...compare to 680k+ when it 1st got imported to Malaysia. Now more get imported, the higher the price...shouldn't it be the other way round sweat.gif

For that price, I can buy a lot of 2nd hand exotics. But I still think the GT-R is more practical in my current place, no one dare touch Ferrari/Lambo in my small little town, if broke down don't know go where find icon_question.gif

Not now, thanks to our fuk up politics, and the instability of the US market, our share market these few weeks not looking good. Wait share market turns better, maybe will consider buying one. Hopefully will get it by the end of this year or so. biggrin.gif

Hmm.. somehow.. if I do have that kind of money.. I would go for GT-R as well. Somehow I prefer it more than 360 modenna.

But... if the GT-R price I can get one second hand Ferrari F430.. I will go for the F430.. dmn that one is irresistible.

Wonder when I can have that kind of money LOL. I hope I will in 2 years time. Trying my best to set a record to be a million dollar man before I reach 27... drool.gif

it's not a ferrari nor does it's a lamborghini.
it was a nissan; a real bad a** nissan gt-r she set a new benchmark that beat the car thrice her price!
the only problem is, she doesn't look as fast as the modena, yet she is faster... and i feel damn comfortable
inside her wub.gif
am in love with this car ever since the 1st test drive sometime ago but heck the price is keep on increasing.
the way it goes, feel like it was faster than the gallardo. correct me if i am wrong. maybe am too infatuated with her icon_rolleyes.gif

errr..... wait a minute! the r8 is a lil' over 1.5m here.

Ferrari is no doubt very tempting, but 360 is quite an old model and servicing is gonna be a PITA, where parts and technician aren't readily available.

Yeah thats one of the problem as well, I'm hoping Tan Chong will officially import the GT-R soon so servicing will be easier.

haha.. one thing lacking about the gt-r is its sound which is quite tame for an almost 500hp monster.... i can listen all day long to the music produced by a 360 modena....

the gt-r can even be faster than a 430 scuderia(on the top gear track)...

gt-r > f430 scud > f430 > 360 modena (predecessor of 430)

Lucky I guess (although I don't believe in luck).

You know what.. imagine you are selling other people's product in the market through internet for resume writing. And for each sales you make.. you received like USD 30. Imagine per day you received around 7 to 10 sales.

Now imagine if you dive into around 5 market and each gives out the same amount of commissions like the resume writing commissions. And then for each market as well.. you received like 7 to 10 sales each day. That means if we combine all the market.. there will be around 35 to 50 sales per day with commissions of USD 30 per day. That means you will make around USD 1050 to USD 1500 per day (assuming all five market you dive in are every hungry.. have available products.. and are easy to reach coz you see.. you don't want to sell a way to reduce wrinkles to a first time mother right laugh.gif )

Hmm... how much is that per month. Convert to RM?? LOL.. can buy GT-R cash already if you do it for a couple of month. No wonder that Patric Chan fella can buy all his house, cars, blablabla all cash. He is earning USD 75,000 per month (last time I check..)

There are other person doing this kind of business here in Malaysia. Notably Irfan Khairi (a malay guy.. always keluar tv advertising internet potential of making money), Gobala Krishnan (got his own product.. Blogging to the Bank) and ofcourse Patric Chan.

Now I guess you can understand how there are some people making millions all of sudden over the net.. biggrin.gif

P.S: I'm not earning that kind la.. just giving example only. If not buat apa RX-8.. baik GT-R and F430 serentak.. rite?? But can buy RX-8 is already a blessing for me... let see if I can surpass even the master himself in the next two year and earn USD 5000 per day... drool.gif yeah right.. dreaming again LOL

===================================================

Well.. I've been wondering then.. where do GT-R owners who bought the cars in Malaysia serviced their cars?? Never saw a GT-R in penang.. but friends told me there's 2 black colored in Sabah.. forgot which area...

Servicing the GT-R is more of a PITA than buying it. You just need money to buy it, but servicing it, you need a skilled technician, which isn't money can buy. I've also read an article stating Nissan dealer need to send in technicians for training before they're approved as official GT-R dealer by Nissan's Japan headquarter. And the GT-R in Malaysia is all from grey market, really hope Tan Chong will officially import it soon sweat.gif

I'm not sure whether Sabah have two GT-Rs, haven't heard of it. All I know is Miri (Sarawak) have a silver one, and heard rumor that Kuching have a Black one.

I guess nothing can be done about it. The import tax system is setup that way, all imported cars get taxed (amount depending on the original price of the car). Though the price of a GT-R in Malaysia approximately equal the price of 3 GT-Rs in the US, unbelievably ridiculous, but...apa boleh buat? Other than being vmad.gif, we just have to get along with it, unless you sanggup drive locally made car just to prevent from paying the tax. Right? icon_rolleyes.gif

don't argue la you guys are comparing apples and oranges. both has its pros and cons.
if you something fast on the straight and also on the bends, get the gt-r, if you want something really exotic with superb sound, prestige badge, better looking car get those f430/360/911s

Kind of agree, its like apple and orange, both maybe around same price, but completely different thing.
GT-R is more on the practical and worth of money side, exotic like Porsche is more on prestige/exclusivity side, with both having comparable performance. And I would chose the GT-R for personal preference reason, though Porsche is no doubt very tempting.

Ferrari and Lamborghini, in terms of price, is in a different league though, I find it hard to believe a new Ferrari/Lambo costing only Rm700-800k. Ferrari/Lambo are also a PITA(Pain In The Ass) to maintain, even the new one, not to mention 2nd hand, unless you're really lucky to find a lightly used one.

GTR just like toyota camry or honda accord, and ferrari/lambo like eclass or 5 series la.. so you pay the money for new camry or accord at the same price only can get used eclass or 5 series.

some people feels the gtr is better looking, and the sound is better. it's really objectives. like some prefer awd that has high grip around the corner while others prefer rwd that can drift while cornering.

it's more towards preferences, japan car associated with quality and performance while europe car with brand recognition and high class.

but it wont happen in 3 to 5 years. It may go as low as 300K when it is a used unit (local 2nd hand not recond from Japan) and have a quite bad condition like poorly maintained.

^Haha...yeah Sandakan is full of rich people, yet its such a small city. If I can recall clearly, there's Ferrari F430, M.Benz S65 AMG, BMW M5, Hummers, Porsche Cayman, Jaguar XF, tonnes of BMW, M.Benz and Nissan 350z.

Majority of them belongs to the "4 big sky king" in Sandakan. Sandakanians will definitely know who I'm talking about, one of them made his way into the news headline recently too after coming back from HK. Anyway, props to them, allowing us who live in a small city to "big open eyes", have the opportunity to experience the beauty of those exotics. Especially the Ferrari, its totally a piece of art! notworthy.gif

Yeah there's two Hummer and a yellow F430 here, recently just added a white M5. To be honest, I'm surprised no GT-R is here yet, probably on the way shipping here  sweat.gif  Haha...by the time I order, Sandakan may already have 1 or 2. I heard rumor KK have one, real?

*
but dude.. u cant just service it even tho u got a specialist.. from whad i heard.. not all R35 parts can be used on the same car.. some hav to kena import from nissan's factory in japan only can.. very ma fan.. better still u get the R34 more parts n sounds fiercer..

The Skyline name has been stripped from the model code R to V, which is sold as Infiniti, Nissan's luxury brand in the US. Sorry to say but please don't be a hater, what make this car different from other car? It's a proper sports car, with supercar performance and capabilities, yes not a lot of people can afford its price but that doesn't make "this car can lansi people thats all".

qualified specialists for Nissan GTR in Malaysia? I dont think there's even one yet.

What I think is, if any shop that knows how to service 350Z wont having much problem doing the basic routine service (engine oil, oil filter, beltings). I'm sure the shop will ask for the car's manual book before doing anything that could do harm to the car's brain.

If by 'specialist' you mean GT-R Master Technician specially trained by Nissan, that wouldn't be any until the GT-R is officially imported into Malaysia. (i.e. by Tan Chong)

Garage which is familiar with JDM car would have little problem with basic routine service like changing filter, oil since its still a Nissan after all. I've also got hold of a few articles written by GT-R owner on the procedure of servicing the GT-R, so basic maintenance shouldn't be a problem. The real problems comes with malfunction of parts, when the dash throw up an error code, that's where the headache starts. cry.gif

Australia doesn't have a GT-R official workshop.
The car itself isn't on sale in Nissan dealerships yet, like the rest of the world they come as grey imports.

*
In KK, i still saw a lot ferrari there but GT-R haven't. Buy GT-R is the best choice, coz you pay less comapre to those lambo/ferrari, CLS63 AMG, SL63AMG and so on and you can enjoy the same performance with those car. It is worth enough! Just luxury feel a bit lack.

the gt-r can even be faster than a 430 scuderia(on the top gear track)...

gt-r > f430 scud > f430 > 360 modena (predecessor of 430)

The sound not enough strong like other 500hp monster i think because it using V6 engine and you can notice V8 engine start to have those sounds but still not very clear and for V10 engine, you totally can hear the sound already.

You must be either in USA or AU. But 535d horsepower not as fast as a ferrari, just the torque only.

Besides, although expenses are high to own a car in HK, such as parking fees HKD8-HKD40/hour and other fees charges, like license fees (like our Malaysia roadtax) but car selling price is cheaper 30% compared to Malaysia, and the petrol price had dropped from HKD15.36 to HKD6.93 per litre.

If you can afford a car above 3500cc in HK, then the expenses of license fees are cheaper than Malaysia roadtax for annual charges. You can check the link http://www.td.gov.hk/public_services/fees_...arges/index.htm for more details.

For example, if you own a GT-R R35 in Malaysia, you need to spend roadtax RM5725.50/yr while in HK you spend HKD10994/yr between 3500cc-4500cc. But if you own a 6208cc SL63 AMG in Malaysia, you spend RM16566/yr while in HK only HKD12789/yr for above 4500cc car.

As a result, if you got a car above 3500cc, it is worth to have one in hk rather than malaysia.

Added on March 30, 2009, 9:39 amHeard that R35 price going down, now around RM500k++

I think the problem occurred from its DSG gearbox.

The problem is with the launch control. You use the launch control too much, it'll fry the gearbox and Nissan doesn't allow warranty claim for this.

Nissan GTR Gearbox Issue

QUOTE
Here, in Moscow. My friend, who drive silver US GT-R. He has only 2000 miles on it.

Yesterday after some starts with 911 Turbo, he try to start, when "BOOM" from the rear of car. After that car start only in 2 gear, then shift 4 gear, and drive max. 34 km/h (20 mph), and big noise from rear.

He try to order new Gearbox, but its not in stock in USA and nobody knows when it will be where. JDM gearboxes have different electronic. And no official GT-R in Russia, no parts, no service. Cost of GB in USA 12.000$

That do you guys think, may be any advise for us, where we can take new gearbox?

This issue comes when you're using Launch Control (LC) with all traction control is off, which Nissan already warned this will void their warranty. Anyway Nissan already announced that there's no more LC in future GTR.

LC is a button implemented in R35? If we don't use it, won't cause the problem right?

Infact LC should be no problem if all traction control is also on. But now many people is abusing LC on their GTR, tangan so gatal nia..

different people have different income. people who own gallardo will say better buy gallardo and a house than buying murcielago. plus gallardo lp560 clock faster time in track than murcielago. but people who buying murcielago will think better he buy murci and house than buying a zonda. since murci have better luxurious interior than zonda. but people who buy zonda will say better for him to get a zonda and a house than getting a $30M yatch. the list goes on. people who think this way actually not mature enough. people is not the same. some a rich. some people already have house that worth 5millions few bmws and he's thinking to get a R35 GTR. some people may think better he move from he's "rumah setinggan" to a semi-d or corner unit house or bungalow in rural area than buying a GTR. if you dont have a nice house, u would not have think to get a GTR in the first place. just keep admiring, dont need to dreaming or wondering this and that.

Last saturday driving on KL-seremban highway with 140km/h, suddenly i look at the back mirror saw a black car from far away coming fast behind me in a short time, when it near behind my car, i quickly cross beside next line let it past, that was GT-R black edition with plate number BJX........, it really looks cool and the engine sound quite interesting. I think that guy driving more than 180km/h that time.

haha alot of people here still have shallow and immature mentality of why owning a nice car. The comparison of tax with foreign country and critics on our tax will never ends. You can complain on our tax, and so they can complain bout their frigging living expenses and food. Nonetheless dont forget we're in malaysia, GDP is low thus affordability is lower. They purchase a sports car here trice the amount compared to outside deosnt mean they forever cant own 1 in malaysia. People have their own rights to have a sports car and i believe 95% of them are not dumb enough to purchase a 800k car living on a 200k apartment (If you ever see one call them stupid for me). Everyone here has their own financial planning, eventually when we earn 50k++ a month, we would consider the extra earning to pay off for your GTR's as well, then the next generation will start to critic at us like how we do now smile.gif

my ex boss got 1 gold orange color Wxx 5399 . he brought recond for 430k.

service need go shah alam there. each 5k km need service about 600+ ringgit only hmm.gif

if say like BMW / Merc = yes more expensive. but you say ultra expensive like his panamera. then no

panamera = 10km service about 2k+ at glenmarie.

i think there's some error here.
impossible only cost 600+. the oil it self already cost you 1k+, unless use cheap brand oil which is a no no for the gearbox.
