i always wanted a cavalier king charles spaniel but it is a hard breed to find, somemore quite rare in malaysia.
the other day i out of random ask the pet shop owner about how much does a cavalier king charles spaniel cost, she say around 10k, wtf, must be with lesen and chip ba.

then the other day i saw a Lowyatier selling the puppies, rm2k each, somemore no lesen or anyhing

Anybody have this breed and can give comment bout this breed?

Yea, it's quite adorable and Hun has one. You can ask her for more details and you're right about it being rare in Malaysia. What do you mean by lesen? Do you mean MKA certified? Or are you talking about dog license?

10k? Must be some champion breed. Normally with Rm10k, can already import top Australian line already..... if petshop.... all is bull lah.... they sell you crap puppy with Rm10k only sometimes.

Cavaliers are available here, and most cavaliers in Malaysia come from Riccaval line. He breeds twice a year, good dogs. My Chelsea is from him. A few members here have his line as well. I think got 3 or 4 cavalier owners here and we just had a cavalier gathering on 10 August.

You mean you spend RM10K too to get your Cavaliers???! WOW....

LOL... I won't spend 10k lah.... but Chelsea is about Rm2k. Locally bred cavaliers are around Rm1.8k to Rm3k depending on quality and breeder....

That day in Dogathon I saw one tri-colour (white-black-tan) type, but the size is as big as my ACS ler....further more the fur not long and fluffy like picture shown above. I don't think that was Ricaval bred one.

Ohhh.... so big? Then I think not from him loh..... cavaliers are normally around 10kg.... slightly more is ok.... my Chelsea is on the small side, somewhere between 6 to 7kg, so light that most cavalier owners enjoy carrying her LOL.

I have. it's adorable. human pleaser and an one man dog. Only listen to 1 person...i love it when my girl only listen to me and bark at anyone who order her on things which she don't like. most time, she would just sit on my lap for hours watching tv with me....heheheheee.....

But, also, CKC is also a very possesive dog. Everytime i play with my JRT, she would scold at my JRT and chase him around...lol

CKC also need a lot of companionship and a very obident dog. seldom barks unless really offended ( not mine, bshe bark like crazy..lol)


RM 2k for a CKC is reasonable. I got mine from a reputable breeder from Cheras who got it from raccline too. But i got mine cheaper rm1.7k but the breed is very good! No regrets!

yup...it's a home breeder..the whole family is dog lovers...it's near pantai cheras....i forgot the name of the taman already.

the best part is that, even at that price, my girl coome with MKA cert too..
hehehehe....

i recomended quite a number of ppl for her because the breeder pups quality is really good.
