Exactly! Value for money? I think NOT tongue.gif

BTW, I have clocked 25 hours on the T-Amp (Set 2).. laugh.gif
Have not heard anymore sonic improvements in this 'lil marvel.
I guess 20 hours should be the minimum.. Someone said 100 hours! shakehead.gif Too long way to go/wait!
I don't have that patience... wink.gif

jazzy,

Under normal circumstances, amplifiers need 100 hours to run-in. However, after the first 30 hours of play, its sound is already quite listenable. The sonic improvements after this would be subtle - midrange becoming more liquid-sounding, treble less brittle-sounding and bass goes deeper and lower. If we were to put out ears close to the drivers of our loudspeakers, the tsssh sound from the drivers would be totally gone once the amp is fully run-in (speaking from my own experience)

The sonic characters of T-amp should already been very obvious by now, after 25 hours of playing music.

This is not normal la for a speaker to be 'hissing' without any signal, it's like the amp volume at 'maximum' and treble set at 'maximum' too... tongue.gif
Something wrong with your amp?

That Class D amp no longer qualifies for 'best value for money'; so won't be taking that option! tongue.gif
That TT session tak jadi.. raining! laugh.gif

Alternatives to what? As far as I am concerned, TA2024 is THE ONE! thumbup.gif

Now already hit 33 hours of burn in rclxm9.gif The T-Amp is singing beautifully now... wink.gif

IMHO TA2024 is a good kit considering for the cost and simplicity...but 9W is a bit power shy la...

for GC i think is a good choice...50W is fine. jazzy if i'm thinking for a point to point GC power amp, how much i have spend when sourcing parts locally like you did.....

Power/quality/cost wise the GC is a good choice. Balanced. biggrin.gif
I got ALL parts including the LM3886 chip from JP! wink.gif
This is a while back, I'd say for parts alone, its between RM50-60. Power supply is another ball game ya! tongue.gif
