Hmmm I thought I heard from Djinn that once you call them they will like set appointment. Once they set it you go there and they replace immediately when you pass it to them... wrong?

correct. if you make an appointment before hand and give all your details as well, you will be given a case number and when you are at the service center, you can exchange your unit immediately. the only problem is like what some have said here, you'll need to give SG address (actually any valid SG address is fine) and you need a singaporean contact number. that singaporean number needs to call a local SG number to confirm stuff before you can actually do the exchange. and no, you cant call the number with a MY number.
hope this helps.
imho, paying someone to do it for u is a lot less hassle than going down to SG to get it exchange yourself. at the end of the day if you factor in your petrol, time and other costs, the money you're paying someone else to do it is worth it.
