The official Japanese website for this October's Casshern Sins anime has launched with a streaming trailer. Madhouse announced at the Tokyo International Anime Fair in March that it would be remaking Tatsunoko Production's Shinzo Ningen Casshan science-fiction classic. The original anime series recounted the story of Casshan, a cyborg who rises against the robotic armies that have subjugated all of humanity. Streamline Pictures and ADV Films both released the 1993 Casshan: Robot Hunter animated video remake in North America, and Go Fish Pictures released Kazuaki Kiriya's 2004 live-action movie remake.
Casshern Sins Event! Date: 14/9/2008 Scoop: First screening, talkshows, etc! Location: Shidome, Odaiba Island, Tokyo
Interesting to watch but no value of second rewatch. Nice animation though of the fighting scene. Seems Casshern is Shinigami of death and however goes near him will die. lolx
I've been watching it since it aired and its pretty decent . The strongest point of this show is its animation which is fantastic . The art style is pretty old school but its done in a way that makes it up to par with some of the recent animations released. The thing i don't really like is how the story is told . So far , most of the episodes involves Casshern visiting different parts of the world and seeing the ruin and destruction hes supposedly caused . I initially didn't have a problem with this but after 14 episodes of Casshern going emo and characters who are introduced and die in the same episode left and right its starting to get a bit old and annoying . Looking at the preview for episode 15 , it seems like its going to be another one of those episodes . So far i'll give it a rating of 7/10 . Its saving grace is basically its animation while its weakness is its currenly paper-thin plot (due to lack of progression) and its slow plot progression.
