Try textReader from Cydia. Might be easier.

If not, you may need to find some text reader from AppStore apps to help you.

Launch Cydia. Goto Manage and select Sources.

Select edit (top right) and click add (top left). Add the sources address. You will get pop-up errors but continue till finish.

Done.

Good app and now with sound enabled. Very much better than Video Recorder.

Roughly about 6MB for 30". It's a dot mov file.

Docs - This is now out for FW 2.0. It required a full rewrite. There is no safari patch for 2.1 so I left out the “launch in safari” but the good news is that UIWebView is way beefed up and works a lot better.

BiteSMS - v2.3 is mainly for 2.1 support. Here are the rest of the changes:
* Now compatible with Apple firmware 2.1.
* If biteSMS is configured as the default app, the Contacts ‘Text Message’ button will now open biteSMS.
* The auto-correct feature can now be toggled ON/OFF via the biteSMS settings page (defaults to ON).
* Auto-correct now honoured when the ‘Send’ button is pressed.

CopierciN - This is a cool app that implements some copy / paste functionality. It’s in the beta stages but has potential. It lets you import and export between apps like notes, sms, email.

iRealSMS - v1.06 of iRealSMS fixes a load of issues:

Problems with non western languages
Could not delete from SMS view
SMS alert -> Show went to Reply
Landscape: no cancel and send button
Some numbers showed instead of names
No full name in new sms view
No company names
Nation identifier setting not saved properly
Search “both” was an AND not an OR
Search did not include recently received SMS
Some bugs related to those above

AptBackup - This is a cydia backup script. It backs up a list of the apps you installed. It puts it in the folder where iTunes backs up so that you backup in iTunes and this list is also backed up. After this, you restore your device, restore your backup and then run aptbackup again and it reinstalls all your apps at once.

CopierciN (beta) - highly recommended. Very useful if you do alot of forwarding smses etc. Works well on Fw 2.0.1 and Fw 2.1.

SwirlyMMS beta for iPhone/3G FW 2.0.x and 2.1

SwirlyMMS it’s the only application that allows you to send and receive real MMS and it doesn’t use some internet service over WiFi as Flutter or something else.

iSpazio has the new version of SwirlyMMS that works on 2.0 and 2.1 firmware (as well the iPhone 3G). It’s a beta version and they say that maybe they will have the final in the AppStore.

Heres how to install it on your iPhone.

-Download this file: test.list

-SSH the test.list file into your iPhone in this root: “/etc/apt/sources.list.d/”

-Open Cydia and wait for a refresh of Sources.

-Click on the “Changes” tab and there will be SwirlyMMS.

Disregard the above update as SwirlyMMS is available via Cydia.
