New Classic TMNT are in Toys'rus, rm79.90 per turtle though.

Looks great but too expensive like Thundercats Classic.
*
Yup, saw the Turtles in TRU..got classic n the modern version...classic one just like the above, awesome figures, RM79.90 each..was thinking so long whether to buy all 4 at one go or not, for the sake of nostalgia biggrin.gif in the end, decide to hold back n cool off 1st tongue.gif one of the factors were the availability of the 4 turtles only, but no Splinter or Shredder sad.gif

The modern version is smaller, but has all the characters, including Kraang and April...but not that nice compared to classic version..

Still contemplating whether to buy or not..the classic version is really accurate and quite highly articulated.. blush.gif

Singapore also selling the classic version, SGD30 per pc.

Soooo tempted...but in the end, tahan tahan... tongue.gif
*
S$30? That's cheaper than Msia..might just get it there when I go over tongue.gif

QUOTE(advocado @ Jun 1 2013, 08:55 PM)
Bebop & Rocksteady are coming next. So maybe April & Shredder if sales are good.

I just worry it might end up like Thundercat Series, start @ rm89, then rm59, later rm39... the sold out.
*
That's good to know..but still, Shredder is the iconic one blush.gif

Thundercats got sold out? U mean the current classics sold in TRU? But I just saw them in Ikano TRU a few days ago..but disappointed la, only got Lion-O n Tygra..no point to collect if the others are not released..n for the record, I hate the new Thundercats tongue.gif

Sold out in places i visited. Maybe some place still have. How much they selling now? I think most sold out because the price slashed nearly half. The classic ones are pretty good actually.
*
Oh, maybe Ikano's TRU not many people..they still hav a lot of classic Thundercats though..if not mistaken, it's either RM79.90 or RM89.90..no discount..maybe that's y still available..haha! tongue.gif but yeah, the classics are pretty good..shame it's limited characters..

QUOTE(hocksoo @ Jun 2 2013, 10:12 AM)
U guys are fast... I saw them but still considering coz wanna wait for discount. I like the articulate finger on those classic TMNT.

Also planning to collect all TMNT2012... but really broke.
*
Yup, wanna wait a bit, who knows got discount later on..10% also jadilah tongue.gif since the classics r double the price of the modern line, I think parents will opt for the modern line for their kids..furthermore, kids nowadays never seen the classics before..which means we adult collectors will have plenty of stock to choose from biggrin.gif

On a side note, it feels so old liao to talk about 'kids nowadays'..heck, I think we collector's of TMNT are kids at heart..LOL! biggrin.gif

Now that I have them I have another dilemma.... I really want to take them out of the box and pose them about.... However there's another part of me not willing to unbox them coz I saw how much the original issue values after 20 years under mint, boxed condition....

Will this edition be valueable one day? I bet they'll reissue the classics again in future.....  icon_question.gif
*
Simple solution bro..just buy another set! tongue.gif unbox 1 set, then keep another biggrin.gif

Ok, jokes aside, I think in 20 years time it will NOT be worth that much..it's now fetching a high price coz the current adults went thru the TMNT craze 20 years ago..now with purchasing power, we tend to collect them based on nostalgia...but the kids today dun hav the chance to watch the classic TMNT, they would not be able to relate when they're adults later..makes sense, no? blush.gif

I was trying to coax my girl to get me a second set, in which she smirked disapprovingly... Hehe..

Wat you mentioned makes perfect sense.. I'm just fulfilling my childhood desires... Hmmm....  nod.gif
*
Ask the other half sure cannot get green light la bro tongue.gif just buy n keep..hehe..

But I would just open up the set, no need to buy 2nd set bro..

I had that blimp >20 years ago! shocking.gif

I think sooner or later it will be relaunched..as long as the current available toys are doing great sales..which they are, judging from the difficulties to find the Turtles in TRU stores these days..

That hard to find now? Thought they're still available around..now just waiting for Bebop & Rocksteady. I can't wait to see a 6" classics Shredder. Would look sweet..
*
Yup...i went to a few TRU around PJ and only limited classics available....latest is i saw only Raph and Mike still around, but no Leo and Don....i still remember when they were 1st launched here, i saw them in Ikano's TRU....got plenty to choose from. I didn't buy then coz RM79.90 each is a bit expensive....but looks like there's more 80's babies than i thought...all kena sapu liao sweat.gif
