Got myself set of Nickelodeon TMNT basic figures and started watching the show, must say that this is the first re-vamp that's really gotten me into the whole heroes in a half-shell and made me feel like an 8 year-old all over again since the original TMNT cartoon series. Cowabungaaaaaa~!!! bruce.gif

Pic spam over the next few replies, had a blast during the shoot since I haven't been shooting toys for a long time now.

Awesomeness detected!!! Thanks fot sharing Ashstar!!! thumbup.gif

Thanks keypad! Was sure I'm not the only one who's feelin' the turtle power as I've seen quite a number of people talking/discussing about them when they saw the new toys in TRU.

Mikey nunchuk may get stress mark in the 'chain' when u pinch it together..to store it on mikeys back ia not a good thing to do..you guys might consider making a custom weapon for mikey
*
Don't worry orestes, that's a pretty common issue for the chucks and there's a few great guides online on how to incorporate real (miniature) chains for Mikey. I'd give it a shot one of these days when I could get my hands on the materials.

Hahaha! TMNT was revived with the 2012 series eh?
Spamming my turtles smile.gif
Bought it from amazon which cost a bit more due to lack of patience...saw the figures in TRU the next day after i received them doh.gif
*
Awesome spam! I was kinda tempted when these came out last year but shipping turned me off. Glad we can now have the figures at pretty good price I must say (especially when compared to other toy lines that are either decreasing sizes/complexity or increasing prices). The vehicles and playset on the other hand... sweat.gif

Oh, that instrument? it's a soprano sax, used the box to take pic coz it's black n my phone's cam suck laugh.gif

Saxophonist in da house! Was intrigued as I played the flute myself and the velvet cloth looking material seemed familiar.

Back on topic though, I think you've got them for a fair price since there were no indication that TRU is bringing the turtles in (believe they're airing the new Nick TMNT on NTV7 now so that might explain it).

Couldn't agree more on the vehicles, case in point where Sewer Spinnin' Skateboard retails for approx US$10 in the states but it's going for RM69.90 here rclxub.gif

Wondering if they'll release Shadow Rapheal , Don and Mike ....  hmm.gif

Could you be referring to the Night Shadow Leo? I must admit it's got an attractive paint scheme but too bad the figure was reduced to a statue (which also caught many fans by surprise as they only found out after gettng the figure in hand).

Oh well , retail Turtles then , no choice . Any tips on to check for QC issues when choosing ?  sweat.gif

They're really not bad - good size, articulation and worth the asking price of RM39.90 each more so compared to other action figures in the size region.

When I picked my set up I just cherry picked the neatest paint apps ie. white stays within wraps, bandanna colours don't overrun into face, etc. You'll be spoiled for choices since not many collector/kids picking these up yet at this point in time. laugh.gif

Hope to see more pics from all of you, anyone bought vehicles/play sets already? And for those who're still on the fence, here's some official stop-motion poison for your enjoyment this evening: brows.gif

HOLY shocking.gif ...

Are these out at retail already? I know it's not much of a coincidence but I'm eyeing the exact same sets as way to get all 4 turtles + Splinter and Shredder.

Can't wait for your completed build bro! drool.gif

Shellraiser set is kinda cool as it does one thing the Playmates toy doesn't - the wheels actually raise and it has train wheels underneath it that work on LEGO tracks! laugh.gif

Guys, what kind of paint is recommend to use for repaint this new tmnt set? I try Mr.hobby but not stick on those plastic...
*
Are you trying to paint the turles themselves or their weapons? Read that the weapons are made of waxy plastic that doesn't paint well, it is recommended to sand down and apply primer coat if you really want to paint them. Or there's the permanent marker approach as mentioned tongue.gif

The turtles have fantastic molded texture and details, am planning to to a simple black wash + gundam line some parts to make them pop. Gotta first find time to do these though...
