If you guys know anyone in NZ and want to buy Iphone 3g, I'm sure u should know the price in NZD by now.

Thing is, even on the waiting list, you'll probably be waiting 1 and a half months until vodafone gets their stock.

Iphone 3g is selling online at 850-900NZD.

I was lucky to get mine at 850NZD, BRAND NEW because when iphone was launched, he bought excessively.

The quota was then reduced to 3 per person and now to 1.

So yea, if you wanna get cheap iphone 3g, buy it off the Internet if possible.

no worries from upgrading to 2.0.1 smile.gif

i'm a newb. just got my phone yesterday so still playing around wiht the stuff

Yo!!!

All your assumptions of my iphone tells me all of you are envious LOLLLL tongue.gif j/k

anyway,

confirm NZD:) got it off trademe!

there were 2 sets selling at 850. i took 1.

my friend bought one 8gb iphone 3g the next day at 890 because the other 850 was sold out.

yea it is so bloody difficult to get it from vodafone.

if i'm not mistaken, they get in 10 sets every period of time.

the biggest vodafone branch has orders for 100+ iphones.

oh yea by the way, i asked vodafone staff

and they told me that if you buy an iphone directly from their website, you probably can get the unit in several working days.

something u might want to consider.

oh stringfellow, the seller even provided me his receipt with serial number matching my unit serial number etc etc from vodafone nz smile.gif purchased it at 979NZD.

the box was indeed opened but just out of curiousity. smile.gif he already had 2 iphone3gs (16gb) when he sold the phone to me and even showed me his phones to prove it:P

he bought extra due to the hype until he realized he had no use for it. LOL

some people are just plain rich.

someone just offered me 600NZD for 1st gen IPHONE 2.0 (8GB) fully unlocked by vodafone UK. is there really an unlocked set by vodafone uk and isit even worth it?

oh no. the phone wasn't even activated yet smile.gif

i had to activate it myself.
it was still sealed with its plastic protector etc.
anyway, the receipt would state otherwise if purchased with a plan.

anyway, i get what you're trying to say. but whatever it is, i would not be in new zealand long enough to make use of the plan.130bux a month is crazy. what more 2 years!

even i only spend max 60 bux on prepaid a month.

whatever it is, for a phone that was just an open box unit and has never been used, i'd say i got myself a deal.

subjective actually. smile.gif i'm sure if i would do a tumpang, of course i would want my buyers to get new phones too! but well, this time on my behalf, whether it would benefit the seller anot, i'm still paying 130nzd less than retail for a phone just open box.

oh well smile.gif

said and done
whatever it is, i'm satisfied that i've got a deal, regardless.

for a phone that i've been looking around for more than a week and not being able to get any stock at all vodafone outlets in the cbd, well... haha tongue.gif
