i got my iphone 3g from NZ and i just put my celcom 3g simcard in my iphone. it still shows no sim card installed. insert an unlocked and valid sim to activate iphone
pleseeeeeeeee help

You need to activate your phone with iTunes.

All you need to do to activate your NZ 3G iPhone is connect it via iTunes and go through the process. You will need to either register an account with iTunes, or use your already pre-made account that you've created before or using now. I strongly recommend creating an account first to simplify and smoothen the process of unlocking. Keep your sim card inside the iPhone during activation. After the activation process, you can straight away use your iPhone with your favourite carrier here.

Get a U.S account. You may need to google a US address to sign up.

Just goto iTunes Store and download free apps, once finished downloading sync it with your phone and it will be installed.

Hi, I bought 3G iphone from australia, telstra outright recently. May i know how to activate the phone? is the phone lock or unlock? when i try to connect itune, it said my malaysia sim card not valid. pls help

i dunno la but i think the NZ and aussie phones are unlocked. do u have a valid itunes account? try to get a valid itunes account and try.

if you didn't pay extra cash to your Australian telco, called unlocking fee, then most probably your phone is locked to that telco.

I read somewhere previously U can actually check if ur iPhone 3G is unlocked or locked; where do U get that information again?! *grins*
