Do you think that with the security issue that happens everyday and everywhere, new house should be equipped with alarm system?

If yes, what type of alarm system is good and recommended?

One of my friend kena robbery and be threated when those robbers entered into his house. All of them were woke up and tied up all. They can't do anything and looking them took off all valuable assets.

I didn't install a home alarm system, but most houses here have them and they will go "nuts" almost everyweek. Probably too sensitive I guess.

Alarm system is unnecessary if you are staying at some private area with a guard house. There is only one entrance and exit at the same place. And keep your porch, balcony, kitchen lights on at night if you are afraid. And make sure all doors are locked, preferably at least 2 locks.

If you have locks, grill and etc. Your house should be well protected from thieves.

what about getting a dog? old-fashion way

ADT is a nuisance if its too sensitive
i stick mine wit ADT stickers, having 5 dogs and installed grill on all windows

stay for 4 years and thank goodness nothing happen

I am installing laser sensors and laser guns (kidding on the latter though)
