Been very busy la this few weeks. Handling projects for petronas. Saturday n sunday oso need to work co-ordinating resources. Luckily can do from home but still working la.

Seems like there's a mix result from this. Some says no need to patch and some need to patch the appsupport. I've done creating the IPSW but still weighing the pros and cons. Most of the apps that i need are ported already except for iLog and iSMS which i use frequently. Mmmmmm ... headache la like this.

hehehe i know your "tangan gatal" also to do it hahaha..well but if for iLog n iSMS i cant say much..if u need it
then prolly best to keep to 1.1.4..like me when i need to forward SMS i hv to retype again or forward numbers..
its the thing i hv to go thro when decided to go on v2.0..wat to do.."tangan gatal" also hehe

i have successful upgrade my 1.1.4 to 2.0, now trying 2.0.1...

i will miss my 1.1.4 apps...huhuhu...

This is what i did. The same way i did with 2.0 which resulted in a success.

1. Browse the official 2.0.1 firmware
2. Build the custom 2.0.1 firmware
- I did not select Cydia (tried selecting it but custom ipsw cannot be built)
- Custom boot and restore image were selected
- Everything else as per iClarified tutorial
3. Pwn iTunes with sucess
4. Put iPhone into DFU (positive about this. Black screen w/o iTunes logo)
5. Shift + Restore and selected custom firmware
6. Waited for 5 minutes and crash at "Preparing software for restore"
7. Error 6 occurs

Take note that iPhone was connected to PC at all time. Also tried restoring to official 2.0.1 first before installing custom firmware, but to no avail.

p/s: Oh by the way, i managed to see the custom boot logo before it gives me the Error 6 pop up.

Doesn't work for me... now restoring back to 1.1.4 via iLiberty+.

for those get error 6, winpwn again with partition resizer it with 750mb , and select cyndia...try it...it's work for me!:)

can someone please help me? I can't build the custom firmware for 2.0.1!! Well, it actually happened to me when i was trying to build for 2.0.... what happen was it just winpwn loading halfway and it will just disappear~!! can someone please help me out? thanks....

great to hear u guys are doing great..hmm could prolly due to winpwn problems..i didnt select installer actually since cydia has more apps right now..and looks stable and bout partitions didnt adjust it..jes kept the way it is..

zc why not trying using cydia instead of installer....i mean jes try if u want to

Just done washing my car Will re-try now. Didn't quite like Cydia. But hey, is AppSupport on Installet yet? That's the most important thing for now.

hehe good luck..do try cydia only not with installer and we see from there and geo's method as well. Try both if u could and all the best!

As for me i dont need AppSupport as the phone calls in and SMS in are all by names...i did my back up via iTunes and prolly due to that. So far there's no AppSupport on cydia..

as for partionizer, i jes let my root space for 500Mb. Didnt change it..

i did get error 6 in the begnining, did you....

1. IPWNER the new custom firmware as per intruction till the MSG your ITUNE been pawn?

2. I tried on my other PC and it works.

All is well. Here's the combo:

Cydia + Boot Logo + 500Mb root partition

I think the Installer could be the culprit. Thanks all for helping earlier.
