Wow great journey across the international borders smile.gif It comes close to reading a fiction novel hehe...

Btw...won't the alarm bells be tripped by such a detailed account of how it is done though? I mean it is a cool read but shop names are being mentioned etc. LYN's forum pages do tend to show up quite regularly on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd pages of a lot of Google searches.....just a thought. hmm.gif

oh and neekun, your screen shots are awesome man... thumbup.gif

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 19 2008, 11:49 PM)
Why would it a problem for the stores? They themselves are representing Vodafone NZ, and are bound by law to sell them, even if they limit them by their own rules. My only concern was only the possible sabotaging by "malicious forces" here should they tip the customs about the purchase.

Other than that, the new is out, but believe it or not, even up till now, not many knows about the nature of NZ iPhones. Even here, everybody still seem to think, that the best location to get an iPhone, is still the States. I'd rather like that, let them go on their wild goose chase to the US , while stocks remain available for me to get in NZ. rclxms.gif

So meaning to say the stores are imposing a self limit rule?? But whhhy? Why so anal? tongue.gif

Malicious forces eh. Everyone is out to get everyone these days. What do you do again stringfellow? Pilot, flight crew...?

I agree. Just ignore it. You know who is worth your while and who is not. No point wasting time and energy on the people who bring negative elements into your life. We can't please everyone.

IMO, alpha male is not such a bad description to have. Alpha males are called so because people trust them in certain situations to provide leadership. Genuinely caring for other people (aka selflessly helping others to get iPhone 3G's tongue.gif and dispensing free advice) is an alpha male trait.

However with that label or not, we will affect others around us with our behaviour. They can either choose to selectively emulate our qualities for self improvisation or simply become sheep who blindly follow. It is not the case of "I say, you follow". We don't have direct power over such decisions made by external parties. We can try to influence them to think for themselves but ultimately the power to decide is still in their hands. If we don't want any of this to deal with, we should just shut up and put ourselves into a bubble...which I don't think very highly of a person because it is a backward move.

Added on August 23, 2008, 11:35 am@louismhc > Btw...I hear from one of my friends about the iPhone 3G launch in Singapore. Lucky you. Apparently the Singtel contract is very affordable. Shame they don't sell the unlocked version but I am told by my friend (customer service rep) that they are being trained to answer questions like "If I move to a different country, say Malaysia, can I still use my iPhone?" tongue.gif I'm still trying to get more info on this since I was only told briefly last night. *just finished reading the sg thread... so we Malaysians have to get around the contract problem... anyways OT here...
